This place is extremely under rated. First off the have boba tea. Any time I’ve eaten here my food has come out within 10 minutes piping hot and fresh. Delicious every time. To the point where I try dishes I’ve never had before because I trust I’ll love it. Their crab Rangoons are delicious and not just filled with cream cheese. Everyone is always friendly. The decor is cute and doesn’t look tacky. I could go on. The desserts are top notch. Seriously, try this place ! I know I’ll always be coming back

Showed up late with a party of 8. The employees quickly shoved 4 tables together to accommodate. The food was hot and tasted great. The is the Colerain go to for quick and delicious carry out. This is the first time “eating in” since the remodel some years ago.

I've been eating here for forty years now. It's changed hands a few times and changed appearances a few times, but one thing is for sure. This is probably the best Chinese food ever. Yes, everyone has their opinions and I know but this one is mine but it's a safe bet to say it's true. Where all the other every day Chinese restaurants all have pretty much the exact same recipes and tastes, this one is different. And so much better.
My personal favorites and highlights are the Twice-Cooked Pork, the Szechuan Chicken and the Wonton Soup. Enjoy!

Great vegetarian options. Quickly served up. This was our first visit. We had very impressive takeout. General Tso tofu, vegetable Delight, vegetable spring rolls, Szechuan green beans and vegetable fried rice. All very good! This may be my new favorite Chinese takeout.

Pretty ok Chinese food for the price you pay. They are very well managed and are very efficient. Their online ordering is great too. There is definitely better Chinese food out there, but for the price and convenience of the take-out system here, we eat here all of the time.

This was my first order through Deal Dash and CHINA CHEF on Colerain: Last evening, I ordered through Deal Dash the following: 2 Egg Rolls, 1 order of General Tso's chicken with medium fried rice and 1 order of chicken Pad Thai. CHINA CHEF is about 3-4 miles from my home which would take about 10 minutes depending on traffic on Colerain. I received the order in less than 30 minutes. The food was HOT, DELICIOUS and BOUNTIFUL. And did I say absolutely DELICIOUS, the sauce for General Tso's chicken was the best I have ever eaten; the egg rolls were stuffed full, and plenty of mustard, sweet and packets of soy sauces. Everything, from the start of selecting the food from Deal Dash's website (EASY) to the young women who delivered the order, <br/>I was extremely happy, will order again and very happily recommend CHINA CHEF on Colerain. The Fortune Cookies were also very tasty as well.

NEW OWNER! Fixed outside and rehabbed inside area. Same basic good Chinese food but has added Thai menu and noodles. Great fast take out. Really friendly and good food.

The Best Chinese in Cincinnati oh i travel form KY to there to get my Chinese almost every Friday or twice a week sometime! Call this place asap and order ask for extra egg you could share with another person when you ask for extra egg.

Terrible customer service. I have been a customer of China chef for years. After Friday night I will never go again. I walked into the restaurant. The phone was ringing at the same time. The old man answered the phone while I patiently waited. While standing for him to take the phone order, I waved and spoke to a couple of employees that work in the kitchen. Once he took the phone order, he took the order to the kitchen and proceed to put aluminum foil over a pan of rice. He then continued to do the same to another pan when I waved and asked if I could make an order. He yells at me and says "you see I'm working ma'am! I told him he stopped "working" to take the phone order, why couldn't he take my order and I am standing right in front of him! I told him that was terrible customer service, I have been a loyal customer for years and not to worry, I will never return and make sure I tell my friends and family not to go there. I might add, tthis is the first negative review I have ever written.

If you can get better Chinese food than this, both quantity and quality, for what you pay here, then you live in China. Dont know these folks but they seem like a great American small business story. Funny note (of sorts, an observation not intended to suggest prejudice):The reward<br/> of success is you get out of the kitchen and answer the phone. The Chef's are all Hispanic.

Been there a long time...for a reason. In my opinion the is Colerain's finest restaurant. Not because it's glitzy and polished. But it is the most authentic of any other place in Colerain. One example; try a Fried Wonton. It's the real deal. All the others use the same cookie cutter wontons. These are hand made with a proper filling. The lunch specials are not a lunch, they are 5 course dinner. And I am not joking. 2 entrees with fried rice, egg roll, and 2 wontons.<br/><br/>Try it and see what real Chinese food should taste like.

Best Chinese take-out in Cincy!. No other Chinese restaurant can match China Chef! They have the best pork fried rice in town, not to mention all the other items that are too many to list. If I'm in another part of town and have to go somewhere else, it is so disappointing. China Chef's food has real taste!! And the same women (and most of the cooks in the back) have been there for years. That speaks well for it's consistency. Fast service, too.

Awesome. This is definitely in my Top 3 Chinese restaurants around the country for basic, you-know-what-you're-getting, Chinese food. China Chef is fresh and always hot and so reasonably priced. As good as any Chinese restaurant in NY.<br/><br/>Try: Triple Crown, Empress Chicken, Fried Wontons. Even the soups are really good.<br/><br/>Don't: Disappointed on Moo Shu pork order they gave me Mexican Flour tortilla shells.....gross...

So hubby and I were trolling Colerain and he wanted Chinese food - alas we found China Chef! It's kinda dirty and sketchy - but hell sometimes those places have the best food. So we went on in. Not much recollection of what we ordered - but it wasn't very good. Larry got sweet & sour chicken - that's what he always gets. I got some sort of spicy shrimp dish with peanuts and vegetables. It had too many vegetables that weren't broccoli and mushrooms so I didn't like it much. I'm so hit or miss with Chinese food...either I love it or hate it. We also ordered an appetizer - and I let Larry pick - well he picked wrong. He ordered Shrimp Toast . We've both seen this on menus before and didn't really know what it was. He asked if it had eggs - the girl said no - but once we saw it - we knew it did. But I have to say - I was only able to eat one of the little triangles.
