Very very very good food with HUGE portions. I really enjoyed the cheese planks and the pretzel puffs were well soft and puffy! Stromboli had great seasoning on the dough and it is stuffed with cheese. My friend enjoyed her sandwich. Imagine poutine, but in a sub form. Overall great experience, even if it is a Steelers bar! Haha 😄

Another burger week restaurant. Great service, comfortable atmosphere, and a lot of history. The food was very good, the bread was a surprising high point obviously high quality without taking anything away from the other parts of the burger. The chips are made in house and were crispy and tasty. Drinks are surprisingly reasonably priced with the bourbon slush only costing $3. An excellent place well with the visit

Great place for meeting friends for dinner or drinks, sports, and nice staff.

I love this place and make it a point to come here at least once a year to watch the Steelers play. The food is phenomenal and the portions are huge for their price-point (I usually leave with a box of leftovers). I ordered a half of the hoagie named "The Snitch" in my last visit (pictured) which was very good. If you're in the mood for their wings, they are some of the best I've had in the area (try the Sparky sauce). This is also the only bar in the entire Cincinnati area I know of that serves Iron City/IC Light in bottles.

My first time eating here and all my coworkers raves about was the buffalo chicken salad. Let me say this place is a game changer. To start off with the portion size is humongous. I’m a big dude who likes to eat and even I could barely finish this bad boy. A variety mix salad not just plain old lettuce here to start, buffalo chicken strips(PLENTY not just 2 or 3 for optics) French fries(yes on a salad, yes delicious) and HAND FULLS of cheese with chipotle ranch. It was delicious and I can’t wait to order from them again.

Great sports bar. The beer on tap is really good very cold and crisp. Awesome spot to watch a Game and have a beer

What a wonder find for a Pittsburgh Native. Feels good to feel at home again and not get mistreated for wearing a Steelers hat. Food was extremely delicious, very good portion given. The bartender was also very nice and friendly. Will be back a lot.

The food was sooo good and authentic. A taste of home while visiting

Great place, and the waiters are as good as they can be. It's easily a favorite in the area.

Our service and food was excellent!! So much to choose from and good variety. We will definitely be back when we visit our daughter at University of Cincinnati.

Good food and service. Bartender was funny and welcoming! Also they serve pretty big portions/meals.

The server was friendly enough but was very unprofessional. Walking out of the kitchen eating or Eating at the bar and walking straight over to our table. He struggled answering questions about the food.

Martinos is a Short Vine institution, but unfortunately, not one I intend to ever return to

Many restaurants have come and gone on Short Vine over the past couple of decades, but Martinos is one that has toughed it out since 1994, and that earns them a measure of respect in my eyes. I am a huge Bengals fan, and the fact that they are pro-Steeler and anti-Bengal (they asked Burfict to apologize to Brown on their facebook page. Seriously?) bar doesn't really detract from that.

The thing that does bother me is the mediocre food.

Now, as a value proposition alone - this place is pretty darned good, and that is perhaps why they remain a popular choice so close to the UC campus. I bought a half-sandwich there a few days ago - the "Mob" hoagie, which is a combo meatball and italian sausage sandwich with red sauce, peppers, and onions. I love this sort of sandwich dearly. The half sandwich cost me 9 dollars, which sounds like a lot until you get the sandwich and it weighs something like 3 pounds. I kid you not, and I have included a pic of this sandwich with a dollar bill next to it so you can judge it on scale. The half sandwich is easily enough to feed me 3 times, and I am not a light eater. The price also includes a sack of house-made chips.

So on value alone - this was looking pretty darn good

Sadly, however, it falls apart at that point - literally. The bread was way to soft to hold the innards in, and that fact that it was not toasted in the inside as any good hoagie (particularly one loaded with wet ingredients) made things worse. It;d hadn't been cut in half either for easier handling. The sandwich quickly fell apart

The bread, however, wasn't the weakest element of this hoagie. Both of the meats as well as the sauce were bland as bland can be. I wondered at one point if the sausage and/or meatballs had cooked by boiling. The sauce has the right color and texture but virtually no tomato flavor at all, much less any good italian herbs. As a related aside that the italian sausage was a patty rather than link, and while I have had a lot of good italian sausage in link form, I have yet to find a good italian sausage done up in patty form.

About the only thing that was done right was the peppers and onions - plenty of them, nicely cooked, and fresh tasting.

Martinos - you're a red sauce italian joint without a good red sauce. Thats a real serious problem from where I sit.

The menu is broad, but they don't seem to do any one thing well. The wings seem to be most popular but mine were overcooked and the sauce was flavorless. The sandwiches are huge, but they are mostly bread with too few toppings (and the bread is sub par to even a chain like Jimmy Johns). If you're just looking for a beer and a TV to watch a game on, this is okay but if you want to eat, there are better options for sports bars all around UCs campus.

Yea if you like the Steelers this is the place to hang out.
Its a bar, but does have a very good menu.
Their sandwiches are HUGE! probably serves 3.
Chicken wraps and salads are delicious
Try the jalapeño bottle caps.
This place is always a place to try either for lunch during the week or game day Saturday.

You get what you pay for?. Ordered the Chicken Alfedo dinner and Lasagna dinner. My total was about $30. The chicken tasted like it was old and was a strange gray color. Both dinners contained noodles that were rock hard and sadly the best part of the meal was the bread. The bartender that handed me my order was sweet but I must say I am one very unhappy customer and will not be going back again.

From out of town and called inquiring about portion size. Was criticized for calling during a busy time, accused of being a prank call, and told our business was not wanted.

JUST FAB. Very laid back atmosphere during the day. Live and exciting during games and most night. The food is always good. The Sparky wings are the best in the tri-state area. I recommend this place all the time
Chris
Food was horrible. Grilled cheese, salsa and salad was atrocious.
Megan
The service was horrible and the waiter was extremely rude. The food was bland. I'd rather eat at McDonald's than Martino's again.

I didn't eat, but my eight buds did. Popular survey: (Me) How's your food? (Everyone, in unison): "Great!", "Delicious!", and "Top notch!" They liked it!

Martino's on Vine. Went to Martino's for lunch. It was absolutley the worst meal I have ever had with my family in Cincinnati.
The food was appauling and I would not recommend anyone to eat at this establishment.

I have been to Pittsburgh and this is definatley NOT Pittsburgh cuisine. On a scale of 1 - 10 - I give it a "0"

Philly Cheesesteak. Considering this is the only sandwich I have had there, the Philly is a good choice. My buddy had the Cordon Blue. However, he exchanged the salami for ham. Fries were not the greatest. Service was cool, they always have nice attractive people working, which helps. I would defninitely go back, just not on a sunday.

Wings straight from heaven.. Best wings I have ever had in my entire life.
