Great place! I'm ashamed to say we live in the neighborhood and never go here. We will start. Wish they would add vegetarian goetta or veggie sausage. That would be even better. But lots of veg options (although not much for vegans)

I love a good “hole in the wall” local restaurant. Proud Rooster nailed it!!! Go and feel at home for breakfast or lunch! It’s cash only. ATMs just a minute walk away.

Best diner breakfast I've had in my 3 years here in Cincy. The pancakes were absolutely perfect. And the prices are great too (just remember to bring cash). Only wish I had started coming here sooner.
If there's one downside, it's that there were no meat alternatives to pork. There were no turkey variations and I couldn't get chicken either.

Great little dinner in Clifton. A group walked in, took a look, then left. It saddened me because the food is delicious and a great value. It's cash only so come prepared. Their goetta is the best I've had since moving to Cincinnati!

Best breakfast place in the city, they have seen me at my best and my worst and never ask any questions. Plus, the newer girl that does the cash register always compliments my sweaters.

Old school diner with good food and shockingly reasonable prices. Wait staff were good and cooks and cashier were also nice.

Quintessential American diner both in vibe and cuisine. The staff is incredibly friendly. The owner is the 3rd generation (I think). However, the Rooster has been around for YEARS! Well worth stopping in for breakfast, however you gotta get there early and bring cash.
