Review Maury's Tiny Cove Steak House - Cincinnati

The food and atmosphere were excellent. Felt like we were stepping back in time. The service was paced for a long dining experience, which I didn't care for. Just dinner and an appetizer were a couple hours. Ribeye, prime rib, and Parmigiano chicken were good. French Onion soup was delicious. Peanut coleslaw was not great, and steak fries were cold. Overall, very positive.

10/10 love this place, been going here 8+ years but this year 2023 they got a younger staff and our service was pretty poor. For as expensive as this place is. No bread, we got refills only after having to ask muti times. Our check was messed up had to wait another 10min just for them to fix the bill. Food 10/10 always has been. Service 4/10 used to be 10/10 Price. Still expensive as it's always been. Atmosphere 10/10 love the old school feel.

Perfect dinner, food was quality and delicious, everything tasted fresh and home made. Elizabeth our server was attentive and gave us some interesting history behind the restaurant. 100 percent would visit again if ever in town.

Maury's Tiny Cove is one third of the culinary trifecta of the Westside. We stopped by on a Thursday night without reservations...not thinking we would need them. The hostess was very kind and managed to find a table for us. We started with the Hanky Panks (a true westside delicacy) appetizer and it did not disappoint. We had the Filet Mignon for our main course and it was cooked to perfection. We finished with the Tiramisu and it was also excellent. Maury's is a throw back to a different time with such great ambiance. If you are in Cheviot it is a restaurant you must visit.

Maury's Tiny Cove is always a delight. The service and old school atmosphere just add to an already perfect dining spot.

We decided to come here on a whim to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was a Wednesday night and we were able to easily get a reservation. We parked in the back and entered through the back door and it was apparent as soon as we opened the door that we had stepped back in time. We meandered through a small hallway and had to come down steps to get into the dining room. My wife being nearly 6 ft tall, had to stoop some times to get through the room. The restaurant looks exactly like you picture it would look in the 50s. Dark Moody lighting, paneled walls, and leather booths. They were also playing old music which set the atmosphere as well. My wife had an old fashioned accompanied by the steak tips and ate every last drop on her plate. I went the cheap route and had a burger and steak fries and I have to say it was mediocre. There was a sign on the door saying that the restaurant was understaffed and I have to say it was apparent throughout our meal as there would be long times between visits from our waiter. Keep that in mind and don't come here in a rush. Definitely an experience.

Maury's tiny cove was all around great! Wanted to try something different with my fiance. So I decided we'd go somewhere small but served nice food. I stumbled upon Maury's looking at reviews on Yelp. And let me say I do not regret it. Upon entering the establishment we were greeted by a very nice elderly woman who sat us and made us laugh while introducing us to our server. The atmosphere of the restaurant reminded me of those older speak easy type of places. Which I loved because as we walked to our seat we heard very nice music playing. Our server greeted us very well and made us feel right at home. She offered drinks to try, gave us the 75 year history of the restaurant and also showed us the booth where the movie carol was filmed. And the food was OH MY GOD! my fiance ordered the BBQ chicken and a new York strip with onion straws and potatoes. I ordered the prime rib, with a side caesar and potatoes and gravy. The food was definitely a 5 for me. The service and the staff were great as well. Please give this hidden gem a try! The bang bang chicken was great as well as an appetizer

Amazing atmosphere, attentive friendly staff, accommodated a non-meat eater easily. The salad the freshest I have had out since before covid, large steamed broccoli and hot fresh sweet potato. The wine list had many great choices. Very happy I stopped in based on history.

This place will always be my favorite restaurant hands down. It is a lovely vintage restaurant with old school music ,ambiance, and seating. All of the staff are wonderful and they have a great hostess named Sara Lee who runs around keeping everything in order. There are many signature cocktails on their list but my go-to is always a gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. My husband and I were there for dinner again last night. We started with the stuffed mushroom appetizer which came out piping hot in a red wine reduction. I had a Greek salad next and it had lots of lovely feta cheese and black olives with a nice dressing. It was plenty large enough to even share if I wanted to. My main and usual go to is surf & turf. The filet is always cooked perfectly to my rare order and the lobster is delicious . My husband had the lasagna which he enjoys with an old fashioned cocktail. I don't know where else you could have cocktails and dinner for two and after leaving a tip walk out with the small bill of $130. Well worth the visit but be sure and make reservations because they are very popular.

A visit to Maury's is a trip back in time. Not much has changed with the decor or the menu since the restaurant opened in 1949, and that's OK. The food is amazing, the waiters and waitresses are attentive and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food served. Skip Ruby's and eat at Maury's.

I had the beef fillet bits with onions and mushrooms, gravy over mashed potatoes...DELICIOUS! My friend had lasagna and it was also delicious! We had the stuffed mushrooms in the wine sauce and they were amazing! Our server was spot on and very friendly. The atmosphere was perfect!

Our last visit to Maury's Tiny Cove was just as incredible as always. We are always greeted by smiling faces and a willingness to please. Sara Lee was our hostess and greeted us with a big smile and friendly attitude. After being seated my wife and I decided on our dinner choice, my wife had the crusted Parmesan Chicken with angel hair pasta and I ordered their special, the New York Strip with a side of Onion straws. I also ordered a Caesar salad. As always the food was fresh and delicious. If your looking for a nice night out in a unique dinning atmosphere, I would highly recommend Maury's Tiny Cove a Steakhouse. By the way, we visited on a Tuesday night and there was no tables available, so make sure you call ahead and reserve your spot at one of the best restaurants Cincinnati has to offer.

Yesterday, at 4pm I made reservations for a the same evening for a birthday celebration dinner. They were packed BUT, the food was excellent and the service although a bit slow (given the crowd) which I totally expected still was absolutely top notch. Kudos to all!

Our server was amazing. We moved around a bit, and he did a phenomenal job, making sure everyone was taken care of.

My wife and I had a very nice date tonight and first experience at this establishment. It's an unassuming, cozy nostalgic twentieth-century steakhouse. Service was casual and laid-back. American comfort food, reasonably priced. Can easily be either a casual or a fancy night out. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, but I would have personally preferred it without the seasoned dry rub. French onion soup and caesar salad were tasty. Crispy fried onions are a nice accompaniment to the steaks. Would enjoy coming back with family.
