This southern girl fell in love!!! I flew to Cincinnati from New Orleans for the weekend to visit my mom and we had dinner here tonight. Im absolutely obsessed with this place! The pizza is phenomenal, the breadsticks are literally longer than deer legs and the service is top tier. I loved the outback patio!! Will def be back :)

Didn't know you can get legit NY style pizza in Cincinnati. Crispy crust and delicious sauce.
Gretchen
Great pizza, chewy crust and fresh ingredients! Took the pizza to go but want to go back and check out the speakeasy.

Great dinner prior to Ensemble Theater! Friendly service, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere.

The staff here was really nice and personable! We came in right before the crowd got there. They were very friendly. We ordered a whole pizza and it took about 20 minutes to make give or take a bit. It was basic, half cheese, and half pepperoni. The crust was soft and melted in your mouth. The signature for me was whatever they made their sauce with really stood out from other pizza joints I've been to. There's a huge bar upstairs I'd recommend as well. But the pizza and friendly staff are my reasons for wanting to come back!

This is a weekly lunch spot for myself and my office mates . Great NY style slices and the breadstick with dipping sauce could be a meal by itself. The lunch deal is an absolutely insane value! Staff there is AMAZING. We have patronized this place dozens upon dozens of times, and the folks behind the counter are ALWAYS on top of their game with a great attitude. Nice outdoor space. Chill bar area upstairs. In the heart of OTR.

Fun multi-story pizza joint. They have wiseguy lounge on the second floor with loft seating as well. Great seasonal and full cocktail menu, lots on draft as well. Everything we tried was delicious. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is chill with a cool vibe. There is also a two story outdoor patio. The pizza menu is great as well with salads, sides, calzones, and a sub. They have giant NY slices that you can get by the slice and you can even get a huge 22in pizza. Highly recommend.

Really great pizza and bread. Drinks up stairs were top notch as well. Service was excellent. Price was really good too.

An absolute must when in Cincy. We stopped in during our last night in the city and it was perfection. You can choose from ready made pizza by the slice and breadsticks or order from the menu. We went with slices of a veggie, a plain cheese, a pepperoni & sausage, and breadsticks. The sticks come with choices of dipping sauce. The habanero ranch is a must! I was obsessed with my giant slice of veggie pizza. If you’re not eating broccoli on your pizza, you’re missing out! The vibe was hip and fun with lounge seating and a bar in the upper levels. We grabbed a hightop on the main floor so we could watch the pizza making magic while we ate.
The star of the night, outside the fantastic pizza, was the pizza tossing master, Dan. He was the friendliest dude ever - turning an ordinary ordering of dinner into a lively show. It added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening to hear him bantering with guests and making suggestions. The guests were eating it up even faster than the hot and gooey pizza slices.
Overall the place was clean, had a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and sliced up massive servings for reasonable prices. If you don’t stop here, you’ve wasted a trip to Cincinnati.

This place has delicious pizza and good vibes. It has an old fashioned speakeasy feel mixed with an pizzeria. We ordered the goodfellas pizza and it was an awesome choice. They also had a really nice selection on the bar with some really neat looking and tasty drinks.

Great speakeasy in Cincinnati. Must try if you like bourbon.

Great place for single slice or whole pizza. The atmosphere is great treated very well by staff and they were very helpful on our selections, being new customers to them. The bourbon bar upstairs is the bomb, very knowledgeable staff. Last time I was there we walked in and right back out not seats. Went on a Monday late afternoon. Will definitely go back.

Excellent pizza! But if it's your first time, I very highly recommend that you go with only Pepperoni (my preference) or plain Cheese. I would never order that way from any other pizza place, but the sauce, cheese, and crust at Goodfellas has just a really great flavor all by itself. Pepperoni adds to that flavor in a good way, but other ingredients tend to mask it out.
After the first time, by all means, experiement - you might want to try Cheeseburger style (add cheddar, onions, mushrooms, and ground beef), for example.
And their meatballs (and meatball sub) are also exceptional!
Lastly - again, especially if it's your first time - order fresh pizza if you have time, rather than taking what's on display. You need to know what their very best is that first time, because it is the best pizza in Cincy, in my opinion.

Tried Goodfellas for the first time last night and the pizza was delicious! When we went to pick up the pizza, the person at the counter was very nice, too. Also great price for the size of the pizza.

Everyone welcomed me with a cheer. Could be halloween fever, but it was nice. The pizza is really good. The crust was cooked perfectly. I had Cabernet Sauvignon with the tomato and basil pizza. Paired well. If you want to have drinks and pizza, this is a very good choice compared with other pizza toppings. The other pizza toppings were bacon, jalapeno and chicken, banana peppers. These were good, but not with wine. I finished the dinner with Rye-Bourbon style Old Fashioned. Thanks to shawn, for making an amazing old fashioned. This is a perfect classic in terms of level of alcohol presence. Good food, ambience and service.

Blonde bug-eyed guy got really combative when we told him we wanted a whole pepperoni at 230. They boxed it up then told us a different price than on the menu. Guy said that if they don't make a brand new pizza then they charge by the slice for the entire pizza rather than menu price. Told us we'd have to wait 30 min for a new pizza rather than take the "old" pizza from the case. This policy is not written anywhere on the menu. When they asked if I wanted the pizza I told them yes I wanted it at the menu price and that the time was worth it to me and if that meant I couldn't have the pizza already boxed then that's fine. Smartass in the red shirt and hat said that obviously it much be worth 5 bucks to me since that's the price difference. Really great attitude for a service industry job dealing with a customer asking about a moronic, unwritten policy.

Grabbed a few slices Friday night as I was heading back up north. I'd had a couple of drinks and a mega slice was just the key to soak it up. Awesome to pop in, be greeted with a smile and pop out with piping hot pizza! I bought 2 slices for my husband, but ended up eating mine AND half of one of his on the way home, lololol! Its a long ride to college hill!

I used to have to go across the river for Goodfellas pizza, they have a spot in MainStrasse. Then they built this wonderful place downtown. Its in an amazing location right on Main Street and I love how its set up. Downstairs is the kitchen and where you get your slices and upstairs is the wiseguy lounge. Which is one of the few bars I can get my husband to go hang out in because of the amazing pizza! They have an awesome selection of beer on tap and a wall of Bourbon, so whatever your fancy they have something you will enjoy! The bartenders are pretty good at asking what you like and giving a suggestion that is spot on.

The pizza here (and at any Goodfellas location, especially the one in Covington's mainstrasse) is superb, the best example of true foldable NYC by-the-slice street pizza you will find anywhere in Cincinnati. Their motto is "size does count" and indeed this is a huge slice cut from a 22inch pie, but I return time and time again for the quality and value. Just three dollars gets you an enormous slice of plain cheese pie, and a little more per topping. The crust, sauce, and cheese are all well above average quality for the type.
Go There! Try That!
Posted on 20 May, 2015 By Mindy Trujillo Leave a comment One of the things I love about writing this blog, is that people have started recommending places that they love! This includes my hairdresser, Josh. So, the way the story goes, his best friend is the bartender at Goodfellas in OTR and therefore, Josh spends quite a bit of time there. Now, Josh knows I don’t drink, but he also knows how much I love pizza….thin crust pizza. This is why he sent me to Goodfellas . By the way, the one in Anderson Township isn’t the same restaurant (not spelled the same or owned by the same people). Goodfellas serves thin, New York-style pizza . These are big, triangle slices that you fold over and just dig into! The crust is both thin and crispy and the cheese is oozy, gooey! You know what I mean…you take a bite and the cheese strings out of your mouth. Not pretty, but perfect. Since this was our first time at Goodfellas, we went traditional and basic: pepperoni . It truly is New York-style with just the right combination of cheese and grease and sauce. Keep in mind, the pizza in the pic below is a small pizza; the slices sold individually are much bigger. Up front, by the window, you can watch the dough being tossed in the air! Don’t know why, but that makes me happy. In addition to ordering a small pepperoni, we also tried a slice of sausage and onion. Our favorite side? The Extra Large Breadstick ! It is a big ass breadstick folks. And we crushed it. There is a really nice, roomy bar upstairs (the building actually has three levels) so if you are out late, grab a drink and a slice! You can eat at the upstairs bar. Or, if you want to have a few drinks, do that first and then grab a slice. Or, just head in for pizza and skip the bar. Even if you aren’t drinking, you can eat upstairs, too. Did I mention you can get a whole pizza or order by the slice ? I’d skip the desserts simply because you’ll be too full and because I don’t think they are made locally.

There are too many pizza places around to be treated as poorly as this place. Take your business elsewhere.

Just opened last might on New Year's Eve. The craft cocktails are AWESOME! Love the flavored ice cubes and unusual spice and flavor combinations. The pizza is also excellent. Huge New York style slices. Will be a go to pizza joint for us!
