That hippie sundae thing blew my mind!!!!!
The iced coffee is a great pick me up, Vietnamese coffee gelato with Spanish peanuts is my go to guilty pleasure!
The Flutternutter Affogato just might be the best thing that's ever been in my mouth
Got 2 scoops, Rowdy Girl Scout and Dutch Chocolate. Both were smooth chocolate base. The girl scout tasted like the Dutch Chocolate with thin mints mixed in. Would probably skip the Girl Scout next time, but thats just cause I don't like thin mints. For 6.25 I thought it was a good deal.
Great place for a treat. Dojo states their gelato is "creamy and dense", which is quite accurate. Not as dense as ice cream, but not as fluffy as gelato in Italy. We also had a hot Chai which was absolutely delicious! Great customer service too!
As a Chef, you are constantly on the move and stressed out! My therapy is in this place. The ice cream cone takes me back to a glorious time! I am stuck on this place!! The flavors are attractive fresh, and delicious. Okay, my favorite flavor is the Tahitian vanilla! I know so many outstanding things to choose from! I serve Dojo at all my Dinner parties. Do you want some Zen in a cone this place is it!
We really enjoyed our gelato selections, and the girl working solo behind the counter was amazing.
5/5 — Friendly service. The affogatto was delicious! I had it with their vanilla bean gelato — chef’s kiss. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Great selections and tried a few samples before deciding. I had strawberry balsamic sorbeto , my non dairy choice. The others had various flavors of gelato. We loved every bite.
Vietnamese coffee is excellent. Had on the cookie sandwich. Comes in a bag as shown. Cookies are delicious but biting the sandwich squeezes gelato out big time because cookies are so chewy and hard to bite through so ended up scooping gelato out of the bag.... if doing again I would get cookies on the side and gelato in a cup.
A contender to Graeter’s uncontested “Best ice cream in Cincinnati” title? Dojo ice cream is handcrafted, from scratch. Fresh gelati and sorbetti is created every day in their kitchen with growth-hormone-free milk from Ohio and, whenever possible, produce from local farmers. Never any artificial flavorings or extracts. Michael, the owner, studied traditional gelato techniques with Italian pastry masters in New York City. He also attended Penn State's legendary Ice Cream Short Course at the Berkey Creamery. Prepare to be in a treat.
Those who have enjoyed authentic Italian gelato have described the Dojo experience as being transported back to Italy. This Queen City and Findlay Market institution offers everything from classic cups of cherry and chocolate to the funky fun flavors of beer and Cap’n Crunch. I also highly recommend adding a shot of espresso to your gelato for a classic Italian affogato or ordering a hot cup of Italian drinking chocolate when the weather gets cooler. Dojo is worth every penny.
Pretty convinced they sprinkle crack and msg in their ice cream.
This ice cream is straight up addicting.
I do have to give it to Dojo.
They have the best flavors and combinations.
And they change pretty consistently too.
[I will say I do enjoy Graeters "Ice Cream" for the textural/consistency aspect more than Dojo's "Gelato"; but I do think Dojo "taste" better than Graeters.]
Pretty much whatever you get from here is gonna be amazing.
I can vouch for it.
