This place is great! We've driven past it more than a few times going to bike ride up on the Loveland bike trail. The name and sign always caught my eye, and I kept saying to my girlfriend we need to try that place. We finally did. 100% worth it. The staff was great, our waiter was not only friendly and knowledgeable, but interacted with our grandchildren in a positive and sincere manner (You stole our hearts with that). The food was DELICIOUS. Yes in caps, I'm screaming at you right now it was DELICIOUS! Nice sized portions, though what the girlfriend got came with a rather large portion, probably because it was pasta, and they wanted you to feel like you were getting a good amount of non-pasta too. That is something about pasta dishes I've always thought should be changed, more of the main portion, not just 70% pasta. So kudos on actually doing that! I got a sampler platter of sorts, and everything was good. Things I'd never tried before even! So if you like Cajun food, and don't go thinking it's all hot and spicy, pretty much everything was perfectly seasoned, not over-powering just enhancing the flavor of the food already present. We will definitely be back, and I surely hope you will join us.
Shame, shame, shame on me! I have not been in a blue moon until Friday night. Guess it is that close thing where you just don't go because, well, it is close. Not only do you get great blues tunes while you dine, not only do you sit in a charming/funky place, you have a wide range of great dishes. Each in my party of 3 loved what they ordered. Speaking for myself, the rice and beans to start were spicy and great and the catfish platter was as good as it get when it comes to catfish. Truly nothing not to like. A great experience had by all and I will not wait a long time to go again I assure you.
Such a delicious, fun restaurant / bar in Cincinnati! I got the vegan Mardi Gras linguini and my husband got the blackened chicken with mashed sour cream chive mashed potatoes and broccoli. Great beer selection and service!
Cosy place offering an eclectic menu. If you're adventurous try the gator or crawfish dishes.

Love how eccentric this place is. Randomness on the walls placed perfectly and with a theme. The food was fantastic and the beers were delicious. The beer list had beers we were unfamiliar with so we tried them. We are excited to go back and utilize the outdoor dining area.
We eat here often and always have excellent experiences. The menu is varied enough that i can find something good whether in looking for a sandwich, a light plate, or a serious meal. They generally have a fish special that will be a superior meal. There are multiple sandwich options, plus interesting sides. Everything is both healthy and flavorful, which is a balance that most menus can't achieve. There are lots of vegetarian, semi vegetarian, and vegan options besides salads. Eating outside is very pleasant in good weather. And if Allyn is in the house, he'll have good tunes on the stereo.
Our service was excellent. Liked that it lots of vegan options. And they had a great selection of non vegan
Food some of our family are vegan. It's nice to have somewhere as a family and eat out .
Delicious food and nice portion sizes. Definitely worth giving them a try if you're in the area. We look forward to going back to try other items on the menu.
We ate dinner on Halloween night. We've never heard of this place. We only went to see the Dead Man String Band, we love his music. He's very talented!! To my husbands delight you had an extensive vegan menu. Our appetizer came, tortillas chips, with vegan chili and it was scrumptious. He ordered the rice & bean bowl and loved it. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with veggies and it was delicious. Our waitress was so nice. We will definitely come back to eat. Super impressed!!
It's a bar with a restaurant portion so go in with that expectation. Once you do, you'll have a great time with a unique bent on the standard bar food - Cajun - think spicy rice. They still have the standard fried faires like mozzarella sticks but you're here for the gator (which honestly tastes like salty chicken bites but slightly more chewy).
You're not here for health, it's flavor you get. Very tasty drinks as well and service great. Atmosphere is on the cozy side - but it's a bar, not a romantic getaway. You'll have a god time - try it.
Great find!!
Veg, vegan options, burgers, but best of all.. true Louisiana style Cajun nom-nom..
Had the seafood platter.. blackened catfish, blackened shrimp, crayfish, hush puppies....and mac&cheese..
Sooooo good.
Service was outstanding. My 8y/o has a thing about black straws.. and they made sure he got one!! (Who does that?)
Vegan options were great!!
Love this place!
Had the red beans and rice and sausage and traditional wing with Allyn's dry rub. It was delicious. Love the crispy, well seasoned wings. Red beans and rice and sausage with the jalapeno cornbread is a must try
