We ate dinner on Halloween night. We've never heard of this place. We only went to see the Dead Man String Band, we love his music. He's very talented!! To my husbands delight you had an extensive vegan menu. Our appetizer came, tortillas chips, with vegan chili and it was scrumptious. He ordered the rice & bean bowl and loved it. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with veggies and it was delicious. Our waitress was so nice. We will definitely come back to eat. Super impressed!!

We eat here often and always have excellent experiences. The menu is varied enough that i can find something good whether in looking for a sandwich, a light plate, or a serious meal. They generally have a fish special that will be a superior meal. There are multiple sandwich options, plus interesting sides. Everything is both healthy and flavorful, which is a balance that most menus can't achieve. There are lots of vegetarian, semi vegetarian, and vegan options besides salads. Eating outside is very pleasant in good weather. And if Allyn is in the house, he'll have good tunes on the stereo.

Just had the pleasure of dining at Allyns Cafe with my team after a memorable river cruise, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance and welcoming atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Accommodating a large group can often be a daunting task for any restaurant, but Allyns Cafe handled it with utmost grace and professionalism. Despite it being a Sunday night, they seamlessly managed to host our group of team members at 8 pm, showcasing their commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience for their patrons. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food! The menu at Allyns Cafe is a testament to their dedication to culinary excellence. Every dish we sampled was an absolute delight for the senses. From the appetizers to the desserts, each plate was crafted with finesse and a creative touch. The variety in the menu meant that everyone in our diverse group found something to satisfy their taste buds. The flavors were expertly balanced, and the presentation was visually appealing. Our taste buds were taken on a journey of exquisite tastes and textures, leaving us craving for more even after we had devoured our meals. The only downside is having only one server for 17 people. As, the staff at Allyns Cafe were attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable, the server could have used a little help with that many people. Allyns Cafe's dedication to providing a memorable dining experience was evident in every aspect of our visit. From their ability to accommodate a large group on a busy Sunday night to the delectable food and top-notch service, they left an indelible mark on our team outing. It's not often that a restaurant manages to strike such a perfect balance between ambiance, food quality, and service, but Allyns Cafe pulled it off effortlessly. if you're seeking a place that offers not just delicious food but an overall experience that leaves you with a sense of contentment and satisfaction, Allyns Cafe is the place to be. Whether it's a casual dinner, a special celebration, or a gathering with colleagues, Allyns Cafe has proven itself to be a culinary gem that deserves every bit of praise. I'm already eagerly looking forward to my next visit!

We happened to just be riding in the area trying find a restaurant for Father's Day Dinner and to me and my sweetie's surprise we found Allyn's Cafe! I cannot wait to go back and try more menu items, but the catfish was the best I have had since my Dad passed away. It was so good I started talking out to my Dad in heaven about how it was cooked to perfection! I know my Dad smiled down at me and that made my Father's Day complete. Great find!! Veg, vegan options, burgers, but best of all.. true Louisiana style Cajun nom-nom.. Had the seafood platter.. blackened catfish, blackened shrimp, crayfish, hush puppies....and mac&cheese.. Sooooo good. Service was outstanding. My 8y/o has a thing about black straws.. and they made sure he got one!! (Who does that?) Vegan options were great!! Love this place!
