Review Taste Of Belgium - Findlay Market - Cincinnati

Amazing service! I was greeted quickly and the food was hot and delicious ❤️ the manager Jackie even took the time to say hello and ask about my day/experience! Always a pleasure to have a warm waffle on a chilly day by an amazing staff! 🥰 keep up the good work!

They heated up the breakfast quiche for me, and it was life changing! I should have bought one to go, huge slice for $6. Also got a delicious muffin and they warmed that up for me. Was super intrigued with the speciality “glazed” waffles- almost got one. They have lots of options in general I believe. For a drink we got coffee. They have numerous locations.

I went with a friend and we each had a crepe. I had the savory and my friend had the traditional. Mine was delicious and had no shortage of warm, yummy goat cheese. We split a strawberry and cream waffle. Also wonderful! The service was as fast as it could be when you are making crepes from scratch. We ate at the little red tables at Findlay Market. It was perfect!
Riverside Food Tours Cincinnati Ohio
I highly recommend Taste of Belgium at Findlay Market. We host food tours and bring dozens of guest there on a weekly basis. Jacqueline Umberg and the staff are so professional, hardworking and friendly! The locals on the tour even remark about how delicious the waffles taste right out of the waffle maker. Jacqueline and the staff really go the extra mile to give each customer a first class experience!

One of my fav places since day one of ever going to Findlay Market. I love the case full of goodies and don't even get me started on good the waffles are. Friendly people and service.

Jean-Francois Flechet moved from Belgium to US to work on his doctorate. While with a market research company in Cincinnati he started frequenting Findlay Market. A decade ago, he started trying recipes for Belgian Waffles in an attempt to make them taste like those he ate as a child in Belgium, in a stand at Madison's at the market. They were an instant sensation, so in February 2008 he moved to his own stand inside Findlay. Rest is history. Try the waffles with banana and Nutella – our favorite.

I got a variety of macaroons and a bag of waffles, and everything was exquisite!

Had the most decadent, mouth watering dessert here. The Belgian Chocolate Torte is well worth it, and the perfect taste to end your food adventure on. I paired it with a coffee from Urbana Cafe, and I couldn’t have been happier with the melody of flavors on my tongue.

You’d think that one would go here for some type of waffles. Nope. My son wanted pizza. So what do we get? Pizza. Was I skeptical? Yes. Was it good? Absolutely!!! Friendly staff and great food. Maybe I can finally come for some waffles next time.

I love Taste of Belgium waffles and since the one in Columbus closed, I don't mind trekking to Cincinnati every 2 to 3 months (depending on how fast the family devours them) and stocking up on those delicious waffles. Their food is also scrumptious and have tried 3 of their restaurants and have had bad experiences with fraudulent charges added to any card I use. So no more "sit-down and eat". I only do Findlay Market.. they only make waffles, you pick what flavor waffles you want, cashier bags them, my card never leaves my hand..no waiters/waitresses involved. NEVER have any issues at FINDLAY MARKET.

Delicious waffles and quick service. I ordered the fruit and cream waffle.

My husband and I have been to this location twice. Their belgian waffles are amazing all by themselves, they're sweet with great texture and don't require any topping. Also, their cookies and coconut macaroons are some of the best we've ever had! Michael served us on 7/14 and he was great! He deserves recognition.

Great coffee, freshly made unique waffles...try the banana nutella waffle !

So, I recently took a weekend trip there with my friend, Dawn. And, of course, restaurants were the top thing on my mind! One of the first place that came up as a "must-try" each time I searched was "Taste of Belgium."This waffle restaurant was known for their authentic Belgian waffles:. Each waffle is baked individually in a specialized cast iron press, just like they were centuries ago by master cooks in the city of Liège, Belgium. We have perfected an old family recipe, passed down for generations, to bring you the taste and authenticity of a true Belgian favorite. Unlike other waffles, they are made from thick dough and a coarse Belgian beet sugar that caramelizes inside the waffle iron. The secret to a good waffle is a good waffle iron. We do not make a good waffle, we make the best waffle and our waffle deserved the best waffle iron.

Visited once with friends to try the waffles in Findlay Market and have to say that we were not impressed. I'd love to try one of the bistro locations though as they get great reviews. The Findlay stand served tough, poor quality waffles for way too much money. I know they can do better.

I love everything about this place. I typically order the chicken and waffles which is my favorite item on the menu. The Belgium waffle with syrup baked in is so very good, tastes like a big crazy hug. This time around I wanted to try something different. I ordered their breakfast sandwich. It was to die for, my favorite part about this restaurant uses great quality ingredients that are prepared well.

This restaurant is AMAZING! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, which makes it hard to choose what to order. I always tend to order the savory crepes and waffles; however, my mouth always waters when I see a sweet waffle.

My favorite brunch place. I love when I have out-of-towner visiting because I always take them here.

I drove 4 hours for these waffles..... Let that simmer for a minute. THEYRE THAT GOOD! & I bought 3 bags to take home. You won't be disappointed. That beet sugar makes them!

Lousy table. The food was excellent, but they seated us at a large community table in the kitchen area. Atmosphere was lousy.

Yummy and Delicious!!!!. Had the Chicken and Waffle and my daughter had the Waffle Burger. The food is different and SO very tasty. The service was very good. We went on a Sunday and the wait was going to be an hour but we found seats at the bar immediately. The prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are good. It is well worth a visit. I would rate it a 10!!!!!!!!

Waffle perfection. I left Cincinnati, but I will come back. And I will buy several of these waffles to take with me when I leave again. The Waffle N' Chicken and also the McWaffle are just amazing.

Chicken and waffle is awesome!

Well overall experience was good, i probably would not return on my own, unless the wifey insists.
She loved her chicken and waffles, i had the $12.00 goat cheese burger, which was ok...
The was jam packed on a Saturday morning..the waitress was very nice, though had trouble keeping up due to crowd.
I would give it a 5 out of 10, where the wife gives it an 8.
Im much more picky!!!!

Wow! That chicken and waffle was good.

Not sure what all the fuss is about.. We came in for brunch. No refills on the over-priced coffee. The goetta wrap was tasteless. I had to ask for some kind of sauce to make it taste like anything. Nice atmosphere. Food is just boring.

Delicious food, but disgusting men's room.

Good but tiny. I'll agree that the waffles are good. But $3.50 for 1 waffle that is about half the size of standard waffles is a bit overpriced. And $12 for 4 tiny waffles to go? Not really worth it at that point in my opinion.
Also, for anyone going there for the first time, keep in mind that this is not the standard waffle that you are used to. It has caramelized sugar on it, it comes it a parchment paper wrap, and you eat it with your hands. No fork, no syrup, no plate. Also, it tastes almost more like a pretzel than the waffles we are used to.
Either way, I still enjoyed it. I doubt I'll get it again but I'm glad I tried it. I'd recommend if you're in the area and looking for a different take on waffles - beyond that I don't really see the reason for the hype.

CERTIFIED CHEF. Your first impression is your last impression.
For $14 I got the worst chix and waffle dinner of my life.

Best in the World. This might be the first time I've described anything in Cincinnati as the best in the world, but Taste of Belgium's waffles are the best I've ever had. They have a variety of textures and just the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommend.

Delicious. Best waffles I have ever tasted and I found out on Sunday that they set up shop at the Hyde Park Square Farmer's Market!

Worth the weight i have gained.... I could honestly live on these. They are AMAZING. i hesitated to try them originally, but finally i fell into their temptation at findlay one day. Now I'm hooked. I've never had anything like them.Thank god for the take home waffles!!!!!

Best Damn Waffles Ever!. Simply put, the best damn waffles ever! Seriously. Crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. A good combination of vanilla meets caramelization and cinnamin. We had these first at the Madeira Farmers' Market (www.madeirafarmersmarket.com) and quickly fell in love!

AMMMMMAZING. EVERY time I go to Findlay Market this is a MUST. First time I ever tried one of their samples I was hooked. Quite possibly the best thing that I have ever eaten. (mouth watering now)

Amazing. These are so good. Perfect blend of sweetness all by themselves. A great breakfast or a simple dessert!

Everything scratch made, everything excellent. As you've probably heard, Taste of Belgium is home of the best waffles known to Cincinnati... perhaps to mankind. The sugar cooked inside of them makes them perfect to eat just plain, but you can also top them with fruit or chocolate and whipped cream for a rich treat that can be quite filling.

However, Taste of Belgium offers a wide variety of other sweet and savory options besides the waffles. The Belgian-style pizza and crepes are great for lunch at the Market, and there is a gauntlet of irresistible pastry cases housing cookies, pies, brownies, and many other desserts as well as giant calzones, stromboli, and quiche that can easily be reheated. All of this is made fresh in the market from scratch ingredients, and everything I have tasted has been thoroughly enjoyable.

Better than in Brussels. My best friend and I went to Brussels last summer and were anxious to try out the "real" thing only to be disappointed. We both agreed that the best waffle we had came from the "Waffleman" at Findlay Market! She loved it so much she served up fresh ones for her wedding instead of a traditional cake!

It’s certainly one of the hippest spots in Cincinnati, and Taste of Belgium now has three locations along with a little waffle stand in the Findlay Market. The place has a little bit of a lot of things about it; it’s a bistro concept that specializes in waffle creations, not just the breakfast-y kind, but also it’s a bar with a serious variety of beers, wines, and mixed drinks. At meal time, expect to see a massive crowd of people making its way through the doors. People like the place a lot. Taste of Belgium makes a number of breakfast items as well as sandwiches, but by far you’ll find the waffles to be the best thing on the menu. The plain waffle is a delicacy; it’s made from ultra-thick batter and cooked until it’s got a wonderful crunch, the syrup is baked right inside so that every bite has that maple flavor. They’re served a few different ways; the basic waffle, that can be topped with whipped cream and fruit and other simpl

Lot’s of people don’t know what an authentic Belgian waffle is, or how it tastes. I’ve met people who thought it was no different than an Eggo waffle (shudder), and then there are the Brussels waffles that, thanks to language, have become “Belgian” waffle

I ordered the waffle topped with strawberries and whipped cream, but the sweet waffle doesn’t need to be topped with anything. The waffle is a Liège waffle, named after a city in Belgium where it was invented. This style of waffle uses a special sugar in the dough that caramelizes on the outside when baked. The flavor of the waffle from Taste of Belgium is very close to that from The Liege Waffle Factory that was available in our grocers freezer in Denver. Having a freshly made waffle of this style was glorious and I will definitely be back for more.

Waffles. Sweet, delicious waffles. I have never found a single person that does NOT like waffles. It was not the wisest decision I've ever made to eat one of these warm fluffy delights in the 100 degree heat. But it was a good day in spite of the heat. Th

God bless, Jean-Francois Flechet, master of the Belgian waffle! I braved the cold on Saturday morning to sample his Liège waffle from Taste of Belgium at Findlay Market. I popped a piece in my mouth and the rest is history. Before I could think twice, I w

I've been to Findlay Market's Taste of Belgium before, for calzones and their delicious Belgian waffles. What I didn't know before this visit was that they also make their own pizzas

Once that wonderful smell started filling Findlay, word spread fast about this "waffle-man" and his crazy delicious waffles. But simply cornering the waffle market and being able to make Cincinnati foodies begin salivating at the drop of some dough was no

The owner is very passionate about the business and was telling us all about the specials and the items they make.
