Delicious farm to table restaurant. The eggplant in ratatouille is really delicious! Tomato is a bit sour. The vegetarian cabbage rolls are tasty but the cabbage itself is a bit hard to chew. Overall a great dinning experience. Loved the food& atmosphere. Not crowded and seating is spacious.

Great is the food, so is the service. An exotic experience. The food was not only tasting fabulous but was presented and explained well. The people there represent the warm ambience!

A great experience. Food is plated to look as pleasing as it tastes. Versatile in the fact that you can dress fairly casual or in dress clothes and still feel comfortable.

Cool atmosphere... Outstanding service and amazing food. I strongly recommend the house salad and the scallops... Bauer definitely deserves 5 star... however the staff went above & beyond and made us feel special! I have just arrived in Cincinnati with my wife and 15 month daughter... they quickly setup a table and prepared an amazing mac & cheese for my daughter... that is a 10 star in my book...

The thumping sound of music greeted us when we arrived. However, as we settled in, the loud sound is no longer an issue! The service was great and not intrusive. The foods were brought out timely. We enjoyed the warm breads, mushroom soups (the hint of puffed wild rice was nice), and dumpling soup. I tried the Bauer White Old Fashioned and it didn't wow me. My wife enjoyed her Bavarian Manhattan and our daughter-in-law liked her Saignee 75. The ratatouille was very good and beautifully presented. The Babushka Pierogies dish was excellent. I ordered the Choucroute Garnie: the sauerkrauts was very good, the accompanied sausage was moist, the boned-in country pork rib was a bit disappointed as it was dried. We asked if the chef was available for a chat and was told that the restaurant is too busy for him to come out (the place was about half full on a Friday night!). Overall, it was a good visit and warranted a 4 out of 5 stars.

I had my first visit to this restaurant and it was a great experience. The food is very good. I had the chance to try their cheese platter, dumpling soup (very good), and their pork chop, which was quite delicious. The service was very attentive. They have a really nice beer and cocktail list. They have a lot of German beers that you can't really find anywhere else. The only knock on the restaurant may be the atmosphere. They do a great job with what they have but there is only so much that can be done when you're located on the bottom floor of an office building. I will definitely be returning.

Excellent food and friendly helpful service in a chic rustic setting. Prices are moderate and very good value for the quality! The pork chop is worth every penny, the skate schnitzel is so tender and the coq au bin so flavorful. Not a bad choice on the menu!

Really enjoyed the chef's board. The many different options created an outstanding sampler platter. It included many things I've never experienced before like pickled fennel, which was delicious. Our entrees were delicious. The quark ice cream is uniquely creamy and excellent.

Just an amazing meal. The pork chop was phenomenal. The perogies were out of this world. The bread and honey were darn near transcendent. Just a wonderful experience all around.
