Review Revolution Rotisserie & Bar - Cincinnati

Chicken was great and our drinks were as well. We had the Bourbon cider and the Strawberry Mule. The chicken was super tender and juicy even the breast. The wing was so good, that it made me wish I'd order the wings too. I'd go again just to try the wings.

Truffle tots are awesome! The waitress was very helpful, her name was Lilly. She helped us with every part of the menu. We got the Washington pita and a dish of the double dark rotisserie chicken. Excellent. Will be back!!

This place is delicious but very small and compact. Don't expect a big group accommodation. The rotisserie chicken is made to perfection, the sauce that I had with mine (verde) complemented the chicken and rice so well. The brownie a la mode was exceptional as well. They warmed it up for me which sealed the deal.

This place is incredible. I've been to both locations and the owners are such great people. Their menu changes fairly regularly with good features. The truffle tots are incredible, the cinnamon toast cocktail is delicious, the breakfast poutine is to die for and the chicken wings are really good. I highly recommend checking it out!

The food is delicious and the service is great. The atmosphere is cozy and a great place to sit and talk with friends. I highly recommend the Marie Curie. It’s handicap accessible with out door eating. Close to Washington Park and OTR shopping.

Great food! Really nice staff and a cool atmosphere! Their Nashville hot chicken sandwich is awesome. Deviled eggs are great too. Also pies made in house for dessert.

Food was very good and our waitress was nice but service was pretty slow. I had waited for 15 mins for a water refill. The place itself is pretty loud too. They could use some acoustic wall panels to absorb the sounds.

Randomly decided to stop here for dinner, and had an amazing experience. The staff were super friendly, all the food was top notch, and the atmosphere was cozy without being cramped. Will absolutely be back!

I have been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The chicken is amazing - juicy and tender. Tater totes were also very good. We got the pita chips and guac as an appetizer that did not disappoint. Our waitor was super helpful in explaining the menu and drink specials. Definitely recommend!

This place has everything... Bottomless tots (fo free during happy hour), the Declaration of Independence, a menu named after historical figures... everything. This chic, modern spot is tucked into the up-and-coming OTR area of Cincinnati and won’t disappoint. With ample bar seating, booths, and tables in between, stop by for a bite to eat, drinks, or both.

Pretty good for what they do.... I wanted to almost go a four star... but since I can’t figure out how to do a half star rating, I’m rounding down instead of up. So, know going into this review, I think it’s better than average, but not all together a four. I also won’t bore you with exactly what I had, since we all got things to go, tried bites of each, and generally couldn’t remember what everybody ordered. But, suffice to say, pulled chicken is the base for most dishes -and everything we ordered- wrapped with a variety of differing toppings and sides. The pitas were really tasty and the chicken was spiced (more like marinaded) in a way that made we want more. The portion value was good, too, and I was full in spite of my “buffet style” pick and choose way of having what we got. If I find myself in the neighborhood again, I’ll be back....only this time I will make my choice and stick with it!

I really wanted to like this restaurant, but I probably will not be back. We decided to try Revolution out for my son’s birthday. It is a smaller restaurant, so we got there a little early to get a seat. Ordered our drinks and food - including an appetizer. Drinks came quickly, but most of the glasses were dirty. I had to ask for a new beer because of the chunks stuck to my glass. It then took 20 mins for the appetizer to come out (guacamole with pita chips). To be fair, the guacamole was very good. We then saw our meals come up to the server bar, but it took them a long time to deliver them. My sons meal was not served with the rest. His came 5 mins later. My daughter ordered the Marie Curie pita sandwich and said the food was cold. I had the quarter white and was underwhelmed with the portion and the breast was dry. When my son’s girlfriend’s quarter white came out I could tell the were cutting the chicken wrong and not giving the order the full breast. Both plates were short. My wife had the double dark - it was cheaper than my order and had more food. Mind you that this is not an inexpensive chicken dinner. Net - if I want chicken in OTR I will hit Taste of Belgium or the Eagle.

Good food, good drinks. Pita chips & hummus are amazing, rotisserie chicken with lightning sauce is very tasty! Frida Kahlo Martina is like nothing I've had before

Boring bland and food had to be sent back because it was barely lukewarm. Service started out slightly rude, got better but then was basically forgotten about. I had to get up and ask the host for help finding our waitress. Will not go back.

So I was wanting to check this place out. I was intrigued by the idea of fresh chicken and quality ingredients they talk about on their website. I ordered the John Hancock at the insistence of the bartender (I was ordering to go) and the tater tots. I did think tater tots was an odd addition to an all organic menu, but I ordered them because I love them, so who am I to judge?

The food at Revolution Rotisserie is excellent. Our service was fast and attentive to our needs. I will absolutely be back in the future, though I wish some more kid friendly dishes were on the menu.

A few weeks ago, some of my co workers stopped by my desk. “We’re going to Revolution Rotisserie for lunch. Want to join us” Though I usually go home for lunch, I was tempted. However, I still hadn’t been to the restaurant with David, so I had to follow the rules: David and I would have to check it out together before I went without him. After David broke the pact and went to Taste of Belgium without me a few years ago (and then was busted red handed on Twitter), I’ve been careful to not commit the same transgression. So I politely declined and mentally penciled the restaurant in on one of our free weekends. This past weekend, David and I stopped by for Sunday brunch. Brunch features a variety of the pita sandwiches that they have on the regular menu, along with several more brunch-y themed items. After much debate, we elected to go with splitting the chorizo poutine. I chose the Nelson Mandela pita sandwich, which is Mexican inspired, while David went with the Harriet Tubman, featuring chicken, muffaletta olive salsa, tzatziki sauce, and hummus. While deciding, we briefly pondered the titles of the pita sandwiches. Named after revolutionaries, I suppose, but one has to wonder how Gandhi would feel about being associated with a chicken wrap (he was a strict vegetarian). Was Nelson Mandela a big fan of chipotle ranch dressing? Have they finally discovered Ben Franklin’s famous asian slaw recipe?

Revolution Rotisserie & Bar opened recently in OTR on Race just off of Central Parkway. They serve all sorts of "sandwiches" all made with house-made rotisserie chicken.   Here's a hint of what's to come!  They started as a tent at Findlay Market and just opened their spot that is also a block from Washington Park. In addition to the rotisserie chicken - they also have vegetarian options. It's a bright open concept but the tables are pretty tight - so when it's busy - it's packed. There is quite a bit of street parking and since it's not in the middle of all the other restaurants - it's a little easier to find a spot. I had the George Washington ($8) (don't mind the grey bar - no idea what happened there?) - it's basically a Greek Pita. It comes with Rotisserie chicken, arugula, feta cheese, red onion, cucumber, tomato & tzatziki sauce. The pita part of the sandwich was good - it was a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sandwich as a whole was pretty good - the chicken is tasty but even with the sauce - all in all - it was a little dry. This reminded me of my times at It's Just Crepes (we miss you) - they can tend to be dry - so I always got one that has some saucy to it (The Red Goat - in case they ever come back). I need to find the pita with some saucy. Dawn got the Nelson Mandela ($8 - chicken, pepperjack, black beans, corn chips, cilantro, tomato & chipotle ranch). I'll tell you - I was DROOLING over this. It looked delicious and was very saucy! Dawn liked it as well. On a return visit - I'll definitely get this one. They have 8 options for sandwiches so I'm sure there's one you'll like. We went for a side of tater tots (how can you not?!) that comes with a side of chipotle ranch ($3). These are good - as tater tots always are - but I'd love to see some type of seasoning on them to make them a little more special. Why Should You Go? It's definitely worth a try - my sandwich was pretty good - but it has promise. You can also get a half-bird

Good Stuff. Surprisingly good pita chips/hummus. Delicious sandwiches (I had the Harriet Tubman). Friendly service, cute atmosphere.

Really good food!. Wife had tater tot poutine, I had the Nelson Mandela. Both were delicious and filling. Very glad to have another more casual, cheaper, yet still very high quality option in OTR.

Findlay Market seems to be a jumping off point for some of Cincinnati's recent restaurants.  Revolution Rotisserie & Bar in OTR is the latest installment. Starting with simple rotisserie chicken (hence the name from the revolutions on the rotisserie), the menu builds from there.  We experienced the Half  Bird that comes with

This place is great for lunch. They have really good hummus and the sandwiches and salads are delicious. Everything is priced right too!
