The Boathouse

Great venue with a buzzy atmosphere, the service is friendly and attentive. On the pricey side for what it is. Read the menu carefully as there are add on costs to the price for many of the dishes. However if you want to keep it simple there is a great pizza section. Cocktails are good and there is often live music. They handle large groups well if you are celebrating or having a get together.

I hired the Chandelier Bar for a surprise party for my wife and could not be happier with the venue, food and service we received. The location was perfect and the venue itself was lovely. The booking process was simple and nothing was left to chance. The views are of course stunning. A wonderful place to spend a few hours, I definitely made the right choice with the Boathouse!

Visited Friday night for a meal as we heard they had a great gluten free menu. It didn’t disappoint. Huge selection of food and the staff there were impeccable. Table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived but got a drink from the bar on the table tab, and just after we received our drinks the table was ready. Lots of table staff which were very responsive and not too intrusive. Great atmosphere and will definitely visit again.

Popped in for breakfast on Bank Holiday Monday, hadn’t booked so well weren’t sure what to expect re. Table availability, we offered to sit anywhere and were, surprisingly, provided with an outdoor table to enjoy the sunshine as long as we were done within an hour as the table was needed… no problem! Very friendly staff, great atmosphere. I had a Full English and my husband had the Vegan alternative, both were very flavoursome, made with great produce and a good portion size to make us full but not overly so. The bacon was the highlight for me and the spinach & avocado for my husband. The only down side was that our coffees, which we ordered straight away, arrived after our food had arrived so we were waiting quite a bit for our caffeine fix, but the coffee was really good.
