Mediterranean Taste

I have been coming here for the 16-17 years this family have owned the business. They know my order from memory and have never let me down. I love the double chicken souvlaki with hot chili and extra yoghurt sauce. It's a great option for lunch or to grab an early dinner on the way home from work cos they are only open the South City Mall hours. The flavour combinations of the sauces they use and the marinade on the meat before its grilled, combined with the freshness of the salad ingredients and the fluffy pita bread, makes this one of my favorite souvlaki places in Christchurch.

The best customer service indeed. So welcoming & friendly. Food was yummy & a decent selection of Meat & vegetables. They cater for Gluten Intolerance issues & so we were thrilled that we could have our usual salad, sauces and meat & at an affordable price, (the cheapest option around so far). Service was great & can’t wait to visit this lovely family again. Nice to meet you all, see you next time.

Your coming off a hard and busy day at work. You’re starving, you need some lunch. You waddle your way to the food court and you’re presented with plentiful options. Maccas? Nah had that one too many times. The Japanese place looks good but can’t be bothered using the chopsticks. What’s that? A large meat on chips for $12? Absolute bargain. You order your food and you watch as the wonderful lady cooks your chicken and chips right in front of you. You can smell it, that gorgeous aroma slowly make its way into your post Covid messed up nose. The food is presented to you with a huge smile and a lovely “thank you”. You stumble your way back to the smoko room, holding back the urge to munch down your on the walk. You sit down and open that environmentally friendly cardboard box. It glimmers, like finding buried treasure. You stare at it for a good sec and then dig in. Freshly fried chips and juicy chicken goes down your throat. It’s beautiful. You scoff down the rest of it and you’re in bliss. Your full and ready for another 5 hours of whining customers and minimum wage work. Thank you Mediterranean taste, Thank you.

Amazing food and such lovely service ! 😍 The falafel and sauces in my small souvlaki were delicious, some of the best I've had. Definitely can't go wrong, especially for the fantastic price. The lady at the counter was also incredibly helpful and kind, she even gave us a ton of extra ketchup for my mother's chips!! 💛😍 Definitely a good place to go, one of the best eats in the South City mall.
