We've spent years looking for the most authentic Thai in Christchurch, and finally found it in this unassuming restuarant.
You'll be greeted by a very friendly team who take pride in the quality of food delivered, but be warned, a medium spice may be considered like a hot, so if not wanting a spice kick you are best to go with mild.
Portion sizes do us two meals each and the lovely staff cater to our dietary requirements easily, making Red Orchid Thai our consistent weekly treat. Highly recommend.

We had Thai curry with coconut and also shrimp toast. It was my first time ever trying Thai food, so hard to compare with others but I liked a lot what I had. I think portions were okay, not sure if they were bigger pre-covid times though.

Lovely people, the spring rolls are very tasty and the Crispy Pork Pad Thai is the best, you certainly don't have to search for the meat there's plenty and nicely presented, highly recommend any of their dishes as I've had a few .

I think I have just had the best vegetarian green curry I have ever had! The chef noted my comments and delivered an outstanding dish. The uber was quick to- perfectly hot. I'm super impressed- thanks Chef.

Although the delivery was a bit late the deliciousness of the food more than made up for that. Spicy, sweetly fragrant and with ingredients cooked from fresh produce we really enjoyed all the Thai hot dishes we ordered. Thanks team
