Connell's Supper Club

You won't go away hungry! Great Wisconsin Supper Club experience! Bourbon old fashioned was perfection! Onion ring appetizer plentiful and delicious. Steak perfectly cooked, friee chicken moist and lyonnaise potatoes to die for!!! Service was friendly. We had a 730 dinner reservation, place was packed, but we were seated early and serviced quickly. No complaints, only compliments.

The waitress was great! The liver was good, the soup was good, but the steak special was not seasoned, was dry, and the mushrooms were canned! Not worth the cost. Very disappointing. We entered the establishment, and were not from the area, and nobody even acknowledged we were there. We had no idea what the protocol here was. The small bar was full. We finally decided to just butt into the crowd and the bartender said he could seat us. Unfortunately, if we return to the area, we won’t be back here.

An unbelievable Supper Club experience. An amazing atmosphere, very classic feel. Fantastic Customer Service. It was our first time dining at Connell's and our waitress made us feel welcomed and provided us great info on the menu. We started out with there extremely tasty onion rings. I enjoyed the Fish Fry which I highly recommend. I had the two piece fish with three shrimps both fried, bake potato, coleslaw and bread. It was out of this world. Full of excellent flavor. If you are in the mood for a great fish fry, Connell's Supper Club is your place to be!!!

NEW OWNERSHIP IS TERRIBLE. DO NOT EAT HERE My sister talked this place up so much since I am from out of town and they were taking us here as a thank you for helping them with their wedding. They were so excited to bring us and knew the ownership was changing. They were quickly embarrassed they chose this supper club to go to. It took us over 40 minutes to get drinks and then over an hour to receive our salads. Then when our food arrived over two hours later the steaks ordered medium were completely well done. When one was taken back and then a raw one was the replacement steak. After taking it back twice it was then turned into another well done beef jerky steak. This is all meanwhile the new owner is having a meeting with other staff and seeing we were sitting there just as long as they were not being served drinks or food. The new owner was talking down to her employees and being rude. They all then stood up and went to the front of the building near the bar. As they are all laughing and having a great time we were not served food almost two hours into being there and then STAFF started to sit down and eat. At this point there was only two other tables seated in the entire restaurant. Business was not an excuse. Our drinks were only refilled once. It was as if we were being a burden in the restaurant and not a customer. Then as we are walking out all of the staff now has warm food and stating “wow I think this is my fifth beer”. Glad the staff is treated better than the customers who are spending their hard earned money to sit for two hours and get food that is not up to par. My sister who has been a frequent happy customer of this supper club will NEVER be returning under this new ownership. Please spend your money elsewhere and do not support these new owners. They obviously do not care about their customers and creating an inviting and delicious experience.

The service was friendly. Only rated it 3 stars because we ordered our food, the club and the fried shrimp, before a table next to us was even seated. That table was served their food, 4 steaks, and were asking for boxes and the bill and we still had not received our food. We waited almost 90 minutes for our food. The server didn't check on us at all during that time and I was wondering if we just got forgotten about.

We visit a lot of supper clubs, so I feel we can give an accurate description/review of our time at this establishment on Saturday, 3/19. We had later reservations, and we came early to enjoy beverages at the bar. I enjoyed the Old Fashioned, and this was the best part of our experience. When we were seated at our table, there was a mixup about who was supposed to wait on us, so that took some time to figure out. When we placed our order, besides for bringing out salads and relish tray, that was the last time we saw our server until our meal was served. No one came to check on us if we needed drinks or water refill. My husband had to go to the bar two times to get beverages because no one asked if we needed another. It was not the case that they were busy. There were 6 empty tables, three people working behind the bar (for 5 people at the bar), and multiple waitresses. They had enough help. We watched our waitress wrap silverware and do cleaning and never check on our table or the table next to us. I think she even went outside for awhile. When our food came, we didn't see her again until she came to our table to hand us a box for our food since we had a lot on our plates leftover, which we didn't want to take home. If she would have stopped back earlier, she would have known that the ribeye was so tough it couldn't be cut through, plus it was over cooked and not medium rare. They screwed up the potatoes and we had to ask another waitress what the names of the potatoes were on our plates, because it was wrong. The fried shrimp were burnt. The food part was not the waitresses fault, but if she would have stopped by, it could have been corrected. She actually never asked how the meal was. I am assuming it was because she was in a hurry to leave since we had a later reservation. We will not be returning, nor will be recommending this place to others. (The waitress was Lydia)
