Had a couple of chicken tacos with rice and beans. $3.50, great deal! Fast service, good food, low price. What's not to love!
Unfortunately Tacos Cortez had a kitchen fire, and is closed for now. However there is a construction permit posted on the building, so hopefully they will be open again soon!

DELICIOUS!!! I needed food for 80 people and ordered it 1 week prior to the event and Rodolfo delivered on time and provided a TON of food. The carnitas were mouth watering, the vegetables... fresh, the salsa... fresh (2 varieties), it was all excellent. Everything is absolutely authentic. This is a family owned business and we need to support our local restaurants. Thank you Rodolfo!

A+ for effort they are nice folks but the food was terrible my first bite was so hard I thought I chipped a tooth and I had the pork! I hate people who eat at a place once and give it a bad review....maybe they were having an off day or that just wasn't something they did well...I went back and got the steak burrito it was terrible huge chunks Of flavorless meat...stick with the taco carts they are a little more expensive but worth it! The best one in town is at the corner of eaton and esplanade.....

Absoluetly horrible! The taquitos i ordered turned out to be carne asada meat with loads of chiles in them and the were shaped almost like tacos. They were hot and spicy. I specifically asked for regular shredded beef taquitos with no spicy anything including no veggies or sauces whatsoever. I wanted sour cream and guacamole only. There was cooked sour cream and guac. In limited amounts, so baked in that you could barely tell it was on there but there was tons of chilie sauce everywhere! Absolutely horrible. Then my ala carte cheese enchilada was thin as a nickle and was flat like a quesadilla and zero sauce as again it was cooked into to top so much it was like chewing leather. Again loaded with chili sauce on outside! Again horrible. The best part is that i literally waited for 46 minutes and there was only two orders small orders in front of me. I got heartburn cause i tried to eat it cause lunch was over. I ended up returning it after feeling sick after the two bites. I got a refund on the taquitos only. I tried to see if they could make it like i asked and instead of accomodating me, they tossed the money at me. I never asked for the money. They were rude. I threw away the flat enchilada weird thing. My friend got a chicken burrito and threw it away because the entire thing was seasoned heavily in chili powder. Very overwhelming and loaded! This is by far the WORST place i have ever eaten and worst service. Time was outrageous, the three people in front of me only got one item each. The time waiting was halacious. Do not go here unless you want to wait forever and only eat cheap spicy food loaded with chilies everywhere. This place sucks! I have been to most mexican restaurants and my cheese enchiladas are always plump and saucy. This place does not compare and seems like kindergartners cooked the food. I give it a zero but that wasnt an option!

Sad to see this place closed! I remember coming when they were in a taco truck in the early 90s, then a sit-down restaurant, and finally the walk-up window. Best chicken chimmichanga around, and the salsa Verde and roja we're always a must have!

Been around for a long time. Now located on park avenue where the original Jesus Center used to be. The chimichonga is great.
Update: changed ownership, kitchen fire. Closed now.

Been going since I was a kid in the 90s. They are the only place I can get a GOOD chimichanga. And a great bean & cheese burrito for my kids. No more Taco Bell for me.

The absolute WORST mexican food I have ever had. The service was even worse, they screwed up my order, then told me they wouldn't fix me another plate, I had only taken one bite. Avoid this place like the hiv
