One of the best seafood restaurants within the Wicker Park neighborhood. Their large shareable seafood dinner (4-6) is absolutely fulfilling. Everything was cooked to perfection, nothing was too salty or undercooked. I definitely was not disappointed about this restaurant. The service here was good and attentive. This place does get busy, but once you get seated and squared away, the food here is worth it.

Alegrias has some of the most unique seafood dishes I've seen. The Piña Rellena was absolutely AMAZING. The amount and quality of food for the cost is more than worth it. Plus, the service was fast and very friendly.

The food was delicious as usual. It’s our go-to spot when we want to take a guest for great food. Don’t know what’s in their house special sauce but it’s so addictive. But why only 4 stars? The prices seems to go higher and higher. They do indicate if it’s MP (market price) on the laminated menu. Would be helpful if they printed out on paper or posted on a chalkboard what the MP is for the day. Definitely ask so you are not surprised when the bill comes.

A decent small business Mexican style seafood. Not over priced for portions serve. It is a byob and also offers on-site alcohol mixed drinks

I'd wanted to try the place for a long time so I was excited to go. The menu seems limited. I was surprised by this. The bread wasn't accompanied with oil or butter. We tried a breaded pork which we didn't enjoy and didn't finish. The pasta special was delicious. We also got the prawns and although difficult to eat were also delicious. The interior is simple. We would go back for a pasta dish.

Octopus was very tender. Sauce from shrimp dish was fantastic. Crab had lots of meats and loved it. I recommend to order rice on the side to eat with the sauce. It's so good! It's BYOB. Bring your own tequila and ask for Squirt and mix it with it!
