Cassava

As a Miami transplant living in Chicago who also has celiac, I needed an empanada hookup. Cassava did NOT disappoint! I tried one of every flavor and each was more delicious than the last. The dough is soft and pillowy and the fillings are so flavorful and tasty. My favorites were the ground beef, chicken, pork and vegetable. Make sure you get chimichurri on the side, it is the perfect addition to an already incredible meal. You would have no idea they were gluten free unless you knew ahead of time. In fact, I did my panicked “these taste too good to be truly GF” google search as I was eating haha. They offer pickup and delivery and they keep/heat up really well so you can stock up when you order! Can’t wait to order more.

SO GLAD I found this place on my food allergy app! I've picked up in person and used delivery. Superior customer service every time. My partner and I both have multiple food allergies so we appreciate the transparency of ingredients on their website. Always delicious and never had a reaction. Tried most items on the menu at this point, impressed with everything. Will be placing regular orders for sure. THANK YOU!!

Big fan of this place! My wife and other family members have a gluten sensitivity so its great for that matter but I don't and I still absolutely love the the food. They have a nice variety of empanadas plus they do a specialty flavor every once in a while. Their pizzas are amazing too. The operators of the business are top notch. Had issues with a delivery recently where the Postmates driver "drove off" with my order and they refilled my order without hesitation. All around love that this is just down the street from where I live and highly recommend to others. Gluten free or not! Thank you!

A gluten free gem with a key ingredient many people have never heard of, Cassava is a cheap Gluten Free heaven. The dough for the cassava balls and empanadas are made using the Cassava root and they are SO GOOD! There is a slight natural cheesy flavor and the fillings are super tasty. I love the chocolate cassava roll and the grass fed bison chili.
