I love this place I moved to Chicago three months back from Brazil and the only reason I love Saturday is that I can enjoy halwa puri and meethai at pak sweets. These guys are humble and treat their customers nicely I will surely recommend people to try it

Went to the shop on a friend's recommendation. Love the sweets, samosas are also really good. I think they have the best sweets in town. Shop is small but the prices are really reasonable unlike some of the other places i used to go.

FOOD: Halwa Puri, Very authentic taste, maybe even better when you compare it to that of Rasheed Sweets back home in Islamabad. The portions are reasonable for 1 or maybe two-person breakfast. The plate consists of halva(sweet dish), which is of the orange variety, Channa(garbanzo) masala, which are very soda-ish but in the best possible way with the right amount of masala for a breakfast meal, then you get aloo (potato) masala which was kinda cold but the taste was all there. In addition, you get achar (pickles) and some zeera raita (cumin yoghurt) and served with 3 puris. Tea, the tea is pretty good, made with full-cream milk and you can taste it not sure which patti (leaves) they use. AMBIANCE: I cane around 12 PM, Lots of seating, air conditioned, clean and quite, if you suspend the fact that you’re in America, everything else feels just like Pakistan. COST: 1 plate of Halwa Puri, 2 additional puris and 1 tea costed me $12.29 plus tax and tip. OVERALL….. Will definitely recommend, to Pakistanis looking to taste the tastes of back home and to everyone else wanting to try the Pakistani food while in the comfort of Chicago.

This is the ONLY place you need to go for sweets, savories and tea snacks on Devon! We’ve been coming here for over 25 years and love it. It is under new ownership but still has the same great master confectioner making all the goodies! Saleem the owner is super friendly and makes sure you are satisfied! Excellent top quality ingredients and all hand made. If you go to other places on Devon, they are either using machines (mass production) or lesser quality ingredients! The shop has been renovated and looks great. Huge variety at good price and goodies always taste the same as they keep the consistency at 100%. Excellent place for wedding sweets, iftar snacks, parties and of course…puri halwa. Puris are super fluffy, soft and no grease!

Amazing food! The halwa puri is delicious. The puri is the perfect ratio of crispy and soft. The chai is brewed well & not watered down like most places. The customer service is also exemplary!

They have the best Pakistani food I have ever had in United States. Food was exceptionally delicious and tasty. Authentic Pakistani food. We ordered Halwa puri, Paratha, Paya, Kaleji, Chicken & Fish Biryani. It was literally mind blowing. Clean and newly renovated restaurant. Owner is so down to earth and honest. Highly recommended if you ever visit Chicago you got to dine in at Pak Sweets. I literally witnessed ladies praising about the food and giving compliments to the owner.

Let me start by saying that the taste is very good for halwa Poori/cholay etc. Taste is the most important factor for me, hence the 5 stars. I've been to Tahoora, King Sweets and Pak Sweets many times, they're all good but Pak Sweets tastes better imo. Others have e.g. good cholay but aloo are just OK, some might have average halwa but Pak Sweets have all 3 items very tasty and their poori is also very crispy. Now the downsides: cleanliness. Pak Sweets overall is not very clean, their water jugs were dirty, tables needed some cleaning and bathrooms were also dirty. Also, the person at the counter was unpleasant. The way he was answering any questions or responding while ordering was very unwelcoming. So, if I have to summarize, taste 5/5. Cleanliness 2/5 and customer service 2/5. I do want to mention that the person bringing the food was nice and he came to our table to ask if everything was good, but the person at the counter kinda spoiled it for us. They also told us that the menu us not updated. Just fyi.
