We loved this restaurant! First, we went for happy hour. They had some really great deals on drinks and food. We got the happy hour macaroni and cheese and were surprised at the size and quality of the dish. Big enough for a smaller meal.
The next morning we returned for breakfast. Although the wait was a bit long because of how busy it was, we were once again impressed with the quality of the food.
While this isn’t the largest restaurant, and there can be a little wait, it’s clean and serves some fantastic dishes. I’d stop here again!
Breakfast here was a pleasant surprise. We ate at the counter which really is better than a two top and was greeted quickly by the bar tender. My partner had the granola which she really enjoyed. It came with a nice selection of fresh fruit and yogurt. I had the veggie egg scramble. That turned out to be a good choice. It was a giant serving of eggs covered in a delicious tomato based vegetable ragu. What really hit the spot were the roasted potatoes. They were bite sized cubes perfectly seasoned with a slight crunch to the outside and fluffy on the inside. The coffee was piping hot and complemented the whole meal. As tourist we appreciated the super fast service but after we were done, no one rushed us out.
I came back the next day and had the pesto scramble which came with pesto and mushrooms mixed in the same giant serving. I didn’t care for it as much as the day before. It was not as visually appealing and the pesto was a little too muted. In either case you’re getting enough protein to carry you through lunch all the way to dinner
I was wandering downtown and stopped in here for lunch. The menu is a little on the pricey side for what they offer but I got the regular burger and it was really good. The atmosphere is nice and they have a great outdoor seating area as well.
It was busy when I arrived but a table open up quickly. Service was excellent despite it being busy. Nice place to grab a bite before a show in the South Loop area. Good variety on the menu and good drink menu. The outdoor seating looks nice!
Nice bistro. Cold draft craft beer and creamy, flavorful soup. Perfect on this cold day. If my review was helpful or you agreed with my assessment, please consider giving my review a "like".
Cute little spot, have gone a few times in different times of the day. And have not been disappointed.
