This isn't a Chipotle killer. The food quality seems good, the flavor is a little lacking; get some sort of salsa and that's where the flavor is going to come from. They only have cans and bottles for drinks, this isn't a bad thing but just something to be aware of. Other than that the staff still seems to be getting up to speed to I'd expect a longer than normal wait time. So be patient. Also their signage seems incorrect as they state a chicken burrito is $8.75 but it actually rings up for $9.75 which is rather disappointing. Update: the tax is built into the line items so the receipt looks very confusing but once you know that it's not too bad. Updating my rating to 4 stars.

The grilled steak is so good. Well cooked and tasty. I tried it on both taco and burrito and added guacamole (1$ extra charge). Very good option for a fast, tasty bite at downtown.

This place is really tasty and I eat here almost weekly. However, I got a little something extra in my burrito today that needed sharing. There was a produce label still on a bell pepper slice. Quality control needs to go up!

I’m really glad this my favorite Mexican chain was finally reopened! Since I lived in NY whenever I feel like eating Mexican this wpchain was my no1 choice. So saddened for the long temporary closure of all locations but once it’s opened their business again I’d shop my lunch a lot from here whenever I feel like eating Mexican!

Big potions. The staff was very friendly. It has a second floor seating area. It was not very busy when we got there. When we left there was a line.

Take my review for what it's worth but I will start by telling you what I liked about Dos Toros. The service was amazing, the staff was funny, friendly and the food well surpassed my expectations. I don't normally visit chain Mexican restaurants like this but dos toros has completely changed my mindset. Granted, I was only here because of a yelp elite members sponsored event but I still found this place to be in a league of it's own. They had a pretty good beer selection as well as toppings, meats/proteins, addons such guacamole and they had more then enough room and staff to handle large crowds which would be particularly helpful for lunch and dinner rushes. I tried a burrito and the steak was very flavorful and cooked very well. Also when I say the steak was cooked very well I dont mean it was "well cooked". It was very tender and consistent with every bite. When it came time to rate and review Dos Toros, I recalled a conversation I had with another yelper I was talking to. We got on the topics of how he approaches reviews. He mentioned his method which I actually found to be pretty good. He said he reviews restaurants based on their categories, and based off of their competition. So for example, if he reviewed pizza he would take places like Domino's, pizza hut, papa John's and rate them accordingly. He explained he does this because those are chains in the same category of competition. He would not rate those places alongside places like the Art of Pizza, Lou Malnatis or Pequods because although they are pizza places, the quality is completely different therefore will not be a fair comparison. With that being said I thought to myself, who would be competition for Dos Toros. I thought maybe chipotle and places like qdoba would be competition. However, I've been to those establishments, and I can honestly say that dos toros is not even in the same ball park. In terms of service, quality, attention to detail and responsiveness ot deserves to be separated from the rest. Dos toros is a new restaurant in the food market in the city and they are definitely holding their own. Although my attendance was based on a sponsored event, they definitely won me over. They have gained a new customer going forward. A big thanks to the management especially the staff at dos toros for the delightful service, experience and hospitality. They will be seeing me again.

First time visiting, even though the food is a bit spendy. Skimpy on the meat portions but their ingredients are fresh and their burritos and tacos taste really good! I had the first time I went in the afternoon during their lunch rush and had a carne asada taco. Later towards the evening, I came back to v purchase a Pollo Asado burrito and their salsa is really delicious too. You get one scoop of meat but an overabundance of other ingredients. However, you have to pay an extra dollar for guacamole. You can't have a taco or burrito without the guac! It's too bad that not everyone can eat it or sour cream! At least I can say that their guacamole did not look like it was turned brown at all and I like all the ingredients that I ate on my burrito and my taco! I definitely want to go back to this place I just wish they had a closer location for me to travel to instead of just Downtown Chicago.

This place is phenomenal! Burritos are WAY better than Chipotle, ingredients are delicious. When I’m downtown I go here multiple times per week for lunch. Love that you can add chips to burrito for extra crunch. Great sauces too.
