I went there for the first time tonight, and I loved it! Such unique items on the menu! For the appetizer, we got a panang curry Asian escargot. How awesome was that? Sorry I didn’t get a picture, but we ate it as fast as we could. Ha ha ha. We also got the surf and turf roll, and the dragon queen. I highly recommend both! The miso soup was the most flavorful miso I have ever had. I will seriously go back in a heartbeat. Thanks!

My partner and I had a delightful lunch experience at Tanuki today. As we entered, we were greeted by a charming Halloween setup complete with a trick or treat bowl - a fun touch that set a cheerful tone for our meal. The server was swift and attentive, ensuring we felt right at home. Unlike the weekend dinner rush, the lunch crowd was pleasantly sparse, allowing us to enjoy our meal without feeling cramped. We kicked off our meal with a comforting miso soup that warmed us up on this crisp autumn day. The highlight for me was the exquisite Thai iced tea, which I savored down to the last sip. The flavors were perfectly balanced, making it a must-try. We then indulged in the nigiri - the salmon and unagi were incredibly fresh and burst with flavor. For our mains, I opted for the green curry, a creamy delight with a hint of spice from the green chiles. The combination of tender chicken, crunchy eggplant tempura, and vibrant vegetables made each bite a delight. My partner enjoyed the pad Thai, which was equally satisfying. To top it off, we couldn't resist stopping next door at the neighboring cafe/bakery (not affiliated with Tanuki) for a loaf of tomato bread and some chocolate truffles - a perfect ending to a wonderful meal at Tanuki. If you're in the mood for a fresh, flavorful meal, Tanuki is the place to be. Can't wait to return for another fantastic meal!

I choose 8 different rolls with a regular and vegetarian options it's perfect to 4, the fried rice is very tasty... and Everything was so delicious and the delivery service is on time even 10 min earlier. The website is so friendly to order online the delivery or pick-up. The mother Teresa's roll is a vegan option

At the corner of Sheffield & Wellington, owner Tom has got it going on! Such a cozy atmosphere and phenomenal food and service! I do plan to get the sushi in a takeout pizza box sometime soon, but for today, I enjoyed dining in this super cool spot. From appetizers to dessert, everything was fresh & delicious! Don’t miss this spot!

I’ve always passed by Tanuki but never gave it a try until last week and I was very pleasantly surprised with the yummiest spicy miso soup I’ve ever had that I had to order a second! I love sushi and this was one of the freshest I’ve had in a long time. It’s thinly rolled in rice so the rice isn’t overpowering and you can taste the flavors of the sushi. I absolutely loved all the sushi but the Philly salmon roll was succulent with a hint of smokey flavor. I’m already craving the spicy miso soup and their maki rolls. I can’t wait to try other options on the menu. They all sound so delicious. The service was a bit slow but very attentive server and def worth it! I’m definitely be a repeat customer :)
