I haven't been exposed to many "good" vegetarian dishes, but this place will be on my list now. If I hadn't been told that the sausage in the West African Stew was soy, I honestly wouldn't have been able to tell. It was delicious, almost like a curry. The staff are super friendly, and the prices are awesome!

I love this place. The staff is always so cheerful and inviting. They make you feel welcome. The parking can be a slight problem in the summer but any other time, it's fine. It's a must try facility for food and health drinks. Enjoy!

This place is very hole-in-the-wall, and I almost missed it when my friend told me to meet him there for dinner. It has the feel of take-out restaurant, but the ingredients are really fresh and food was good. The menu was a bit overwhelming (different cuisines, drinks, desserts, vegetarian/vegan/raw options, etc), so I asked the staff for recommendations. I went with the tamales, which were really good. I'd like to come again and try the burgers, omelettes, and smoothies.

My husband and I have loved everything we’ve tried here. The lentil burger and the tofu sandwich are my favorites. The juices are great as well, always so fresh. Even my non-vegetarian friends have enjoyed eating here. Costumers get free parking at the CVS lot.

How have I never been to this place before. Don't be misled by the way this restaurant looks from the outside. The food is so fresh and it taste so good. I had the sweet potato burger and it was amazing with a little bite at the end. My girlfriend had the sweet corn tamale. We also got vegetarian smoothies.

Great neighborhood hole in the wall. I've heard so many good things about this place & finally got a chance to check it out for myself. Don't come here for the decor/to impress anyone; there's no waitstaff or bathroom. The food was pretty good, with plenty of vegan/vegetarian options, including tamales & fresh juice! The cashier was super helpful & patient with our indecisive selves. We finally settled on the Forest Mushroom Panini & Enchilada Verde. Didn't blow our socks off, but I'll reserve judgement until I try their tamales and stews.

I can't get over this place. Everything here is delicious. It's cozy, clean, and cheap but does not taste cheap. I usually order too much. Guy behind the counter is the best. Great vegan options too, and it is frequented by cute hippies.

I've only ordered delivery but this is my favorite place to order from. I'm not even vegetarian but the food here is awesome! The lentil burger is excellent, the supreme salad lives up to its name and the tamales are delicious. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends who want a healthy food alternative.

Quick service, the poblano and sweet corn tamales I had were so good! Try the fries too, they're perfectly crispy and delicious. For dessert don't pass up the vegan and gluten-free chocolate and peanut butter scones, they're the best!

I go here every once in a while when I don't have time to make a veggie juice in the morning, and so far I've never had a bad experience. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming, unlike other juice bars in the neighborhood that lack both personality and operate like chain restaurants. The decor could probably stand some tasteful updating (it feels like my abuela's house), but the quality of food and menu variety definitely keep me going back. The best juice bar/vegetarian restaurant I've been to in the Northside so far.

Vegan with a recent Celiacs diagnosis, so eating out can be tricky for me, to say the least. This place is my absolute favorite. The people who work there are incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable and accommodating about special diets. The delivery is fast, and the food is impeccable. Everything that I can eat from their menu--there's quite a lot of options for me-- is so delicious. And the fruit smoothies/shakes/juices?? Holy yum.

To me, this is the best vegetarian place in town! I have a hard time inviting non-vegetarian friends to eat at vegetarian restaurants because they have the perception that vegetarian food is boring. Well, after doing some convincing, three of my friends decided to try Vegetarian Express menu. They couldn't believe that it so so tasty. Of course, it helps that the chefs have many years of experience designing their own gourmet creations. My friends were "converted" immediately. They were pleased to find out that they can eat food that is not only healthy, but also tasty and at an excellent price. Anybody wanting original and tasty vegetarian food cannot miss this North Side Restaurant. Dr. Ayubi & her group of friends.
