They've reopened, serving from the back entrance in the parking lot. This is due to an accident which occurred, in the front of the store, within the past several months. Please continue to support this black owned business. The food is still great & the prices are reasonable. I've been a patron for many years.

I had never been here and Taurus Flavors has been around for years. This steak sandwich had sweet and mild peppers. It was sooo good that when I got home I wanted to go back to buy another! Talk about addictive! Just be patient because there is always a line! I recommend you arrive early, but I do not know their hours.

This is, hands down, thee best steak sandwich I've ever had. I love sweet and hot, so it was a match made in heaven. It was my first time, so I just asked everyone what I should get. The customers were super helpful. Everyone pointed me to the steak supreme. It was the best! Be prepared to sand in line. It does move fast, but there will be one.

Regular customer here. Place is popular for their hoagies and steak sandwiches both of which are outstanding. The only thing this place needs is a makeover. Place looks like a shack and is easy to miss. At lunch it gets packed with people waiting in line to order. How about expanding the waiting area.

Saw the video of Taurus Flavors on Facebook and knew that I had to try them when I went to Chicago this past weekend. When I say they are everything they are everything. I ordered the double steak and the meat was falling out of the hoggie. I was eating it for 2days. I didn't really care for the sweet green jelly stuff that was on it, but I just mixed it in and kept moving. The only downside is that the only take cash, lucky since it's in the South side of Chicago my boyfriend who is from the area walked to the ATM to take money out. Overall great experience, expect long lines but we were in and out in 20mins.

Ok, I don't have pictures yet. But the reason I love them is because they serve very good veggie sandwich, with spices, oil, and vinegar. You can get it heated. Yummy. Now my hubby gets a I guess that would be a steak sandwich. He loves it 🤗😋😋. But the best thing is you only need 10 dollars or so. The sandwiches are so inexpensive but good quality cheeses and bread and everything in between. This shop has been around for ages and you still find it crowded on a daily basis. No fries only chips. 🙂I only have it 4 because the ambiance is not all that great. But the food is good to go.

Well so far coming back from my working vacation from Clearwater Beach, Florida and being Groupered out from eating Fresh Grouper Fish. I finally had time and opportunity to drive to this south side location to try the "Taurus Flavor Supreme Steak". My oh my was it delicious. The mince beef with it's signature sweet, spicy and tangy sauce made this sandwich unique or "One of a kind" of it's own! Don't ever compare to a Philly Cheesesteak from Philedelphia which is also good to eat too when in Philly but this is a must try. My only reason I only gave 4 stars is because this location despite being a "Hole in the wall" of the Southside does not have outside benches or chairs or even in the inside which I understand is small. I am from the Northside of Chicago and I guess Southsiders like this grab and go versus eating the food there. I don't like that nor do I like eating in the car because I do not want to make a mess both in my car nor on my clothes! Also people beware to bring cash. They DO NOT accept credit cards. I will come again when in the mood.

Heard about this place and had to try it on our way to Indiana. Original was unique and sweet as advertised, I did brush off some of the sweet peppers but that’s just my taste, hoagy was great too with dressing that rounded out the taste perfectly. Can’t believe this place has been around so long and I only just heard about it. Bonus is the small parking lot connected.

This place is such a classic and favorite for many people on the south side! The sandwiches are great and very reasonably priced but you can almost guarantee that there is ALWAYS a line out the door. If Hogeys and Corned Beef are your thing then this is the DEFINITELY the place and worth the wait! Enjoy!
