Volo Restaurant Wine Bar

We came here at 4 pm for their happy hour on Saturday, and I was obsessed with the cabana. I can't believe I haven't seen this place before. I especially loved their $1 oysters and $7 spritz menu. I sincerely think it's the best happy hour in the city. The vibes were also adorable as they've been fenced out for the holidays. Their wine list is lovely and the service was attentive and fast. I highly recommend to make this a stop!

The #1 Hidden patio in the city is located here and it is such a secret gem! The patio area is SO SPACIOUS and each cabana section is a cozy escape from the outside urban hustle and bustle ❤️ Their Happy Hour runs Tuesday through Saturday, from 4pm-6pm and includes specials like $1 oysters, $2 Limoncello fizz shots, $3 off of their flatbreads! The wine selection here is impressive! Managing Partner Jon, curates the list of wines himself and has won awards like Best Wine Bar and Best Wine List, in Chicago. Fabulous!!! The food presentation- the dishes were almost too pretty to eat! Outside of the specials I really saw how much of a hidden foodie gem this restaurant is as well. Eats I tried: $1 Oysters (East Coast, Chesapeake Bay) Tomato, mozzarella, basil flatbread Chicken Yakitori Salmon Beef Tenderloin Drinks I tried: Happy hour toast Limoncello fizz shots Sangria Wine on tap It’s a must visit!

I came here with my husband and loved the patio with cabanas. Ambiance was amazing! We came in wine Wednesday and got a wine flight plus a mezcal drink. Also ordered 2 apps like the chicken yakatori and the roasted bone marrow. Both were delicious! We left very satisfied and were able to have great conversation. Our server was very attentive! I also gave compliments to the cooks and they mentioned the filler mignon & salmon are very good. I'll have to come back and find out!

Came here as a date night and it was perfect for a romantic night out! The hidden patio was so pretty with the lanterns and cabanas. We didn’t expect much since it is labeled as a “wine bar” but we ordered several dishes off the dinner menu and was shocked by how good some of the dishes were! Favorite things we got included: - Bone Marrow (Bones were nice and deep with great flavor) - Mussels (The sauce was chef’s kiss) - Steak Tartare (Actually my first time ever trying steak tartare and couldn’t stop eating it) Server repeatedly checked on us to make sure we didn’t need anything else. Overall great experience.

The second you go in, you are welcomed with a smile. The ambiance feels like you are literally transported to Europe, it is so cute, and their cabanas are so comfortable! The drinks are so good! And the food CHEFS KISS! My favorite were the croquettes, the beef tenderloin, the chocolate mousse and the cheese platter with cherry jam!! But to be quite honest it's hard to choose because everything was so delicious! I will definitely be coming back and l'll tell everyone about VOLO because it was so so good!!

Hidden gem! I can't believe it took me so long to come here! Came here with my fiancé and mother. We had a wonderful time, the food, the wine and the atmosphere were all amazing! We didn't eat on their back patio but wow, it looked so cozy and intimate. Next time I'll try to get a table back there. The service was wonderful, our waitress gave us a wonderful recommendation on a bottle of wine, we ended up having two bottle of it we enjoyed it so much. The food was perfect, my fiancé and I had the salmon and my mother had the duck. She said it was the best duck she has ever had. Our salmon dish was perfectly cooked, was very moist. I loved the salad and mashed potato underneath the salmon. We also shared a cheese plate prior to the entrées, there was a white cheese with green marbling, I forgot the name of the cheese but it was our favorite. 10/10 new favorite spot.

First time at Volo Restaurant Wine Bar and the ambiance was EVERYTHING! It felt like I was on a beach resort with the cabana seating. It’s the cutest little spot for a date night or just to go out with the girls. I recommend going for happy hour because you'll get some of the best deals. The Creme Brulee was one of my favorites. The service was also really good. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Check them out when you get the chance this summer.
