I often come with my friends. Their staff will provide good service. The manager is also very polite and will give us their special ice jelly for free ,it’s tastes great. Like family food ,I love there and will come back
This place is very authentic, the food is great, specially the scallion pancakes and the dry chili chicken, the Szechuan beef noodles are great too but with the only caveat that if you order them spicy it will be very numbing and you might not enjoy them.
The service is really fast initially and as others mentioned, once your food is served they kinda forget about you and you have to flag them down for everything else.
I’d still recommend this place if you want an authentic Chinese food experience.
As others have said, a no frills restaurant specializing in Sichuan cuisine. Extremely fast service, friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food.
The dry chili chicken and scallion pancakes were fantastic! The dan dan noodles were so so, next time I'll likely order a different noodle dish.
As someone who is Chinese, I will absolutely come here again! I will definitely recommend this restaurant to others who find themselves in the area craving solid Sichuan dishes.
My friends invited me to try out Dongpo Impressions and I have to say I was highly impressed.
The overall feel of the restaurant seemed to have generic feel to it. I did like that the interior was clean and very relaxed as not many customers were in at the time we went.
The service was very good initially. As we got our order the wait staff seemed to be less attentive which was kind of sad.
The food, of the food! I did like every dish. They were seasoned to perfection. If I could have the food we ordered again I Would for sure.
Overall, I would recommend Dongpo Impression to anyone who wants quality Chinese food! You won’t be disappointed.
Delicious food and friendly waitstaff. I had Zhong’s Dumplings and Black Rice Congee. The food came out quickly, hot, and flavorful. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here!
combo fried flat rice noodles were pure perfection! sichuan wonton and fried rice were also top notch. the dongo chicken special we had was flavorful but we didn’t know it was served cold. overall, the place is excellent and the server was friendly
Staffs were friendly and very helpful. The food had good flavor but it was way too salty…maybe the chef was having a bad day?
I am not sure why they don’t have 4.9 stars. We had excellently tasty and tender spicy pork slices on soft tofu as the main dish, four appetizers that are all delicious and authentic and two desserts.
The prices are so good for the quality and warm friendly service.
We were hungry so we ordered a bunch of food among the three of us:
- green peppercorn fish fillet (deliciously numbing, lots of fish and veggie, must get)
- meizhou chili chicken (great flavored, lots of chili, good crunch)
- peking dumpling (plain but does not disappoint, taste like a warm hug)
- zhongs dumpling (sweet sauce but still delicious)
- dongpo sausage (authentic and unique, good to try)
- dan dan noodle (not my favorite)
- hot and sour soup
- sweet sticky rice (free item, natural sweetness, like it)
The food came well packaged for delivery and at good pricing. Would definitely order from here again!
I have been eating here for almost two years, mostly take outs. The portion is great and the price is very reasonable. One of the best Sichuan restaurants in Chi town.
