Cortland's Garage Chicago

We had to stop before a wedding and wearing a tux, place was super clean and the 2 ladies behind the bar were very friendly and greeted us like we've been there before. We order the chicken appetizer and couple drinks, food came quickly and was very good. Bathrooms were spotless and spelled cleaned which is not your typical bar expectations. Definitely worth coming back in when we go into the city. Thanks CG

Nice location, though there wasn't a sign on the building, had to verify that I was at the correct place by looking at the address number. The server was helpful and attentive. The herb chicken sandwich was tasty but a little dry. Went there for Sunday Brunch with my father sat outside because the music inside was a little loud for a Sunday Brunch atmosphere. All in all I found the experience good, though wouldn't go here for brunch again as it more like a bar/restaurant then a restaurant with bar services. Which is fine, it was just not what I was looking for a brunch style experience. Prices are what you would expect for the area.

Cortland's Garage has a unique selection of bar food (both the sorts of items you'd expect and a number of items you wouldn't!) and is just my kind of vibe for a bar. I'm typically there around dinner time when dropping a friend off at the nearby train, so I don't know what it's like late at night, but they have a good beer selection and pretty solid food, and it's never too packed or too loud during dinner. A good, "nice but still kind of divey" atmosphere. Definitely recommend it if you're in the area!
