Just had a Shrimp Shack lunch, and was not disappointed. The shrimp (1/2 pound was plenty for one hungry person) were breaded rather heavily, but the breading was tasty. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the cocktail sauce matched it excellently. The cook/waiter/only person there was more than pleasant. Can't wait to try more of the menu of this place!

The food was Excellent!! Restaurants in Minnesota need to take notes, lol The shrimp 🦐 are HUGE! Too bad I ate them before snapping a pic. I was greeted with a smile. The place was nice and clean. Will definitely be returning to try more menu items.

Simple and delicious deep fried fish and seafood is sold by the half pound and the pound only. The coleslaw is sold the same way half pound and pound only. I'm not even sure there's another side dish to be had. Maybe they have fries. They do have about seven beers that you can choose from. Food is served on wax paper sheets in a paper boat. It's not cheap, but the fish and shrimp are very good. The shrimp are very large. The perch may be a lake Perch, but they are battered and deep fried; something I had not experienced until this restaurant. My favorite is lake Perch done as it is done in Northwest Indiana, which is very lightly floured and browned in butter.

I’ve been coming here for years, they have the best seafood In Chicago. The jumbo seasoned shrimps are bomb, the fried clam strips are deliciousness…. The frog legs are like butter baby melts in your mouth!!!! The gator bites are awesome too…. Seriously try it all especially the calamari.

One of my favorite restaurants when I’m craving shrimp, alligator, & crab cakes. Today I ordered shrimp and crab salad & Crab Cakes. So good. Customer service is always nice. Whether you are placing an on the phone order or walk in, you will always be with great customer service!

Both the food and staff were great. The place is super clean and I appreciate that every table has hand sanitizer, condiments, and paper towels.
