The Smith - Chicago - Photo album

Really great atmosphere for date night. Fantastic for people watching and just enjoying the energy around the neighborhood. Food and service were fantastic. I like that the menu is diverse enough to go with a group of friends so everybody has a little something. The drinks are also great.
What an amazing place—the service and care on an extremely busy holiday was what did it for us. The food was also delicious, well prepared and an excellent variety for the holiday meal. Also, when they were out of a few items for the night they took care of us with substitutions. Wilson was a fabulo
The experience was great! Seating out on the street as well as inside was available. We decided to sit inside and the decor of the place was really nice. Industrial but classy. Food was great, although the balsamic reduction on the Prime Rib was a little overwhelming. My friend said his pork chop di
Highly recommend ordering the grilled chicken sandwich - basil aioli and a tomato jam. It was by far the best sandwich I have ever had! The order came with fries, reminded me of McDonald thin cut fries but more crispier. We also had the avacado toast egg, that was prepared cooked instead of poached
Great way to start Father's Day. Se were able to score a table outside. To start, the coffee was hot and delicious. I ordered the NY strip medium and eggs. It came perfect. The Smith came highly recommended, and now I see why. I'll be back to try the dinner options.
With so many places to choose from, put the Smith on your list of top places to hit up. Atmosphere is jammin’ (note main dining room can get a bit loud) so if you want a little less noise eat downstairs in their PDRs. Food hits all the notes and the cocktails are superb. There’s always a seasonal sp
Wasn't aware there was another floor downstairs, but it's definitely better than the main floor. Enjoyed the NY strip, although the meat surface was a bit overcooked. Highly recommend the mac 'n' cheese. The fried calamari was good, though the portion seemed smaller than other places. The service wa
Went to the "The Smith" before going to see the Michael Jackson Broadway show. The combination of both events turned into the best way I could have spent a Saturday night in Chicago. The only thing I could have added more was to go to the Bills/Bears preseason game in the afternoon. Such a great
We were in town visiting from Denver, and wandered in after trying to find a spot to get some breakfast and mostly encountering chain diner places with a long wait...we lucked out totally! The salmon toast was amazing, and you get a free brunch drink with your food! Sat at the bar, had impeccable s
My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner while visiting Chicago for the weekend. Everything we ate was amazing. The filet was to.die.for! They surprised my husband with a birthday toffee pudding. It was such a nice dining experience, from the wait staff to the beautiful tile floor and
The food was so delicious! It was pretty busy when I went with my friend but didn’t have to wait long. Friend tried the smith burger and said it was really good! The place feels nice. The Mac and cheese was so gooooodddd, but the steak and the sauce did not suit my taste.
Food was good and so were our drinks. Service wasn’t great. If you have dietary restrictions I wouldn’t recommend this place. They were very unsure what could actually be made gluten free for my friend and she ended up getting something she didn’t really want.
Our server, Oscar, and the manager, Lola, went above and beyond when a dish came out incorrectly. They comped two of our drinks and continually came over to the table to ensure all was well. We will definitely be back to have more delicious cocktails and allergy friendly dishes. The entire restauran
Every single thing we ordered for the weekday breakfast was unique, flavorful, and delicious. The oysters..... To die for particularly with the habanero hot sauce. The bloody Mary's are fresh blend with the right balance of acid and spice, the mimosa is with fresh squeezed orange juice. I could go o
Always good every time we come here. This was our first time having brunch here and it was just as good as the dinner menu.
Loved it here! The food was very good and fresh! Our server was very attentive. The atmosphere is very pleasant 👌 We will go back the next time we are in Chicago.
I ordered the pork chop and it was cooked to perfection. Very tender and just the right amount of food to fill me up for dinner.
Very nice setting with seating available on the outside although you need to reserve in advance if you want to enjoy outside seating. The servers are nice and customer friendly. I ate Veggie burger and had ginger cucumber beer (non alcoholic). They change their menu each season to include and exclud
