The Delta

Me and my boyfriend are chicago foodies and we were impressed of how lovely The Delta was. The food was amazing, vibe was great and top notch hospitality! We get a chance to talk with the head chef and he's an amazing hard working guy. Food was out of this word! Try the Kool aid fried pickle! Isabella amazing and made our experience great!

Absolutely fantastic! Lovely service, great music, amazing vibes. Support Black-owned and Black excellence! Also the animal fries are so good that I got a 2nd order after I finished my first - I've never in my entire life gotten a 2nd order at a restaurant. Amazing! You can tell they truly care about their food and their customers. Also, the plating is lovely and the interior is gorgeous. Definitely glad that the after-party was hosted here for the event I went to!

My husband and I came here on an impromptu late date night. It was about 9/915pm on a Friday Night. The DJ was amazing! Our waiter, Jordan, was an absolute delight! He was personable, knowledgeable, attentive and hilarious. Our food was really good. I had the catfish and my husband had the wings. The real star of the night were the drinks! THEY WERE AMAZING! My husband loved his whiskey sour(s), and the down south peach drink was SPECTACULAR! I look forward to coming back! It was such a great time and is a good place to enjoy late night eats, drinks and vibes.

I ordered the shrimp and grits. OMG...it was the most flavorful grits I've ever had. The shrimp were perfect; not too salty and not a bunch of butter all over. I know this isn't important to a lot of people but THE SHRIMP HAD NO TAIL. That was the icing on the cake, I hate getting a shrimp dish and you're trying to be sexy but you gotta dog a shrimp out the shell. Lol food was amazing, service was amazing.

Was looking for another Black-owned restaurant to try and came across this hidden gem. When I think about, I have passed this place by several times not realizing its a restaurant that I needed to try. So, tonight I tried The Delta for the 1st time with some friends and I was thoroughly impressed. From the time we were greeted at the door until we left, service was impeccable and food was excellent. Sometimes it’s hard to find a restaurant that has both good food & drinks and then topped off with great service. My friends and I ordered food like we were having a Thanksgiving feast. Everything we ordered was great including the desert (bread pudding) except for the mac n cheese w/crab. Our waiter David was excellent and the entire staff was so attentive. Also, the Delta Bouquet drink which is served in a vase is a MUST. Please note that it’s a shareable drink.
