Honestly one of the best Italian restaurant I've been too! Prices are great, food is fantastic. It wasn't busy on a Saturday night and our waiter was attentive. Will go back again.

Had the goat cheese squash, Chestnut ravioli, and penne arrabbiata and all were delicious. No wait, amazing service, and excellent wine recommendation....a must try!

The food was very good, though the pasta serving was so small as to barely cover the plate. You may expect smaller servings of high value foods such as salmon or steak, but not pasta surely? Like the main course, the sweet we had, tiramisu, was the real thing - not mass produced elsewhere. I did /not/, however, appreciate having a 20% service charge added without my agreement! The service was pleasant and prompt, but nothing more. Done according to the script, but not because they meant it.

The duck was excellent but expensive for such a small portion and did not include sides. The magic cake was disappointing and not served as advertised (no raspberry sauce, and whatever the other stuff was wasn’t good). Service was decent.

The location is convenient to my house. The dining room is comfortable and our waiter was very good. The mushrooms and asparagus are really good. Meatballs were disappointing. Gnocchi sauce was too thin. Service was very responsive and overall a nice experience. Definitely going to try again. I would suggest adding pizza to the menu.

A welcoming place to sit down for dinner or sit at the bar with excellent and unique/mouth watering Italian food. Not to mention an impressive wine list. I have never been disappointed. A “best kept secret” of Chicago

I stayed at the connecting hotel during most of summer 2019 while I had a stem cell transplant at Northwestern and became a regular. The happy hour is great, the food is phenomenal, and the staff is amazing!!! I’ve since moved to Chicago permanently and cannot wait to go back and see everyone and have another out-of-this-world dining experience!

If you are seeking the newest hot spot for fine cuisines in a casual, comfortable, professional atmosphere Locanda, just off Michigan Ave on Walton is the perfect place to visit. My second experience within a week and I cannot say enough about it. Every menu item including their pastas, sauce, dessert, etc. is made fresh daily with the highest quality of ingredients you would expect from only the best restaurants. Locanda is nothing short of that and you will not be disappointed. We began our meal with a number of incredibly flavorful appetizers and ended up sharing each of our main courses so we could all enjoy a little bit of what we all ordered. I will definitely return many times, bringing friends, out of town guests and without question, many business colleagues. If I were able to change my rating from 5-stars to 5-diamonds, it would be done.

Quiet but welcoming to families. Seated immediately on a Saturday night around 9. Tapanade was amazing, as was the Penne, with slightly spicy maranara. We were offered delicious almond cookies and macaroons - best I've had.
