I had a lunch and brunch at this cafe/bar on Michigan Ave not far from Millennium Park. The garlic sauce Caesar Salad with salmon was quite tasty but very light on everything except the huge amount of lettuce. May not suit a big person with a big appetite. I still enjoyed it and went back for buttermilk pancakes and hot chocolate the day before the marathon. Again quite tasty. Staff were pleasant. There is both indoor and outdoor seating

This place is a paradox. The food is great. The cocktails are phenomenal, and the staff is really pleasant, but they are SLOW!!! I have been there twice. The first time, it was really busy and there only seemed to be 1 server, so I assumed she was in the weeds and chalked it up understaffing which continues to be an issue in all industries. We returned a few days later and there were was almost no one in the restaurant. I figured this would be perfect. Had the same pleasant server with the same gorgeous smile. The same delicious cocktails and food. And it was still really slow. It has to be a training issue, because the staff is so nice and genuinely seems to want to provide good service. I don't think they need new servers, I think they need the train the servers they have better. When it comes to food and cocktails though ... don't change a thing.

This place was great! It has an awesome location. Right on Michigan avenue. It's the restaurant to the Hotel Julian. Our bartender Yoli was wonderful . We really enjoyed our time. Will definitely come back. We only had drinks but they also served food. they also have charge outlets at the bar!

Make the stop and see Yolanda at the bar. Not only will see you serve you an amazing drink, but she can tell you the history of it. Yolanda will add value to your experience in your dining. Now, let's talk about the food! Amazing and so good. The chef's are amazing and only put out quality. This place is a must. Bring your friends and come here.

I tasted the Acai bowl and the Salmon Benedict. Both were life changing flavor's. Great ambience, and classy service. I will be back! My only complaint is no reference to my wifes favorite 80's movie. But "Yeah, I understand!"

Stopped in for happy hour. Our waitress was very nice. Had a glass of prosecco, sliders, olives, grilled cheese. Everything was tasty and it's a cool space, love the brick painting and looking out onto Michigan Ave. Will return.

Pretty decent as a bar with a good selection of drinks, but can't vouch for food. I must have visited this place three times, mostly to escape the heat and to meet with friends who used my hotel as a starting point for the day. The service was pretty poor across all three visits. On one occasion our server brought us our first round of beers and immediately brought the bill, indicating she was ready for her tip before she finished her shift. This might be normal in the US, but we found it pretty presumptive and rude. The other two visits were unimpressive too - servers either bored out of their skulls or too keen to inquire if we were happy every five minutes. Overall, though, it's exactly the kind of place you want to have on the ground floor of your hotel.

Stayed at Hotel Julain recently and went to lunch downstairs at this restaurant. Overall it was a good experience. Little on the pricey side. I went with the corned beef sandwhich (it was St. Patrick's day BTW) which was good. Bread was nice and crispy along with seasoned meet. Great tasting pickles on the sandwhich. Fries were good but had a little too much salt on them. I saw a beef Wellington on the counter when we arrived. Maybe next time we will have to try that out. Give the place a try Staff were very friendly

The food here is really good (I had the beef wellington and mashed potatoes) and the cocktails are really good too. I liked the Model Diet (a combo of vodka, blueberry-infused St. Germaine and lemon juice) the most, but the wine lost is decent too. It is a bit overpriced as all hotel restaurants are, but not terribly so. It was a nice spot to unwind after flying into town.

Ate here twice while staying at the Julian. The food was very good, though my rib eye cut wasn't the best (it certainly wasn't a terrible cut), it was cooked well and very tasty. The side dishes were good. The second night I got the Beef Wellington, which was also good. The mashed potatoes are a little too buttery for my taste, but the sauteed mushrooms were very good. Service was excellent. They get 4 out of five stars because of the few small things I mentioned, but still very good.
