Maillard Tavern - Chicago - Photo album

If you're looking for a good burger and a drink, this place is perfect. The burgers were delicious and creative. The fries were good but a little overcooked. The drinks menu was small but had good choices. Food is good and prices are decent.
My boyfriend and I tried this place because the City Slicker "Hamburger hop winner" was mediocre. The El Jefe was nothing to brag about either For a place that's not so big and wasn't so busy, the food came out warm and the order came out incorrect. If you have a love for fries, you definitely wo
Fairly good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The chocolate milkshake stood out more than the burger. The burger is good, but I definitely had better elsewhere. It could be a little less dry and more pink. The fried onions in it was really good though. Fries were good too. It was an averagely good m
Awesome burger diner offering up a delectable City Slicker burger that has both truffle and foie gras. Yummy truffle fries come in the side. Recommend if you want a classic burger all the way to this City Slicker.
I have lived around the corner from Maillard Tavern for a year, and just now got around to trying it. I wish I had gone sooner! These burgers are top notch excellence. I visited for lunch on a Saturday and had no trouble getting a table - the place was actually pretty empty. The restaurant is not h
Overall: Maillard is a perfect corner spot for a few drinks and some elevated pub food. The good: There are some heavy-hitting restaurants in the nearby area, but Maillard is a great spot for the middle-of-the-road consumer who doesn’t want to spend too much or too little. The atmosphere and vibes
This is a very tasty burger. Slightly dry patty but all the ingredients work well. The duck fat fries was crunchy and perfectly fried.
Come for the burgers. There are a few other items on the menu, but the burgers are the highlight. The burgers are not too extravagant, but still elevated. well executed balanced flavors. Quality ingredients but still has a greasy, messy feel that a good burger should have. Fries are crispy and pai
Awesome place for burgers and shakes! The food is amazing: try the Maillard or the Grand and I bet you will love it! The ambiance is pretty cool - good music, huge bar, talkative customers.
Great use of a tiny space. Burger was incredibly savory; I got the Ray Ray chorizo and beef burger. Duck fat fries were exactly how I like them; so you taste potato, rather than a puff of exploded starch. Great small draft selection, understood by the staff.
Delicious! The service was fantastic, and the bun on the burger was toasted to PERFECTION. Crispy and buttery- and the milkshake was the best I’ve found in Chicago. I’ll definitely be back to go through the rest of the menu!
The burger here is amazing, just a great experience. Fries were only average but for the quality of that burger, I'm OK with it!
The bartender was super friendly. Happy hour is from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. I had the “One Hot Minute” margarita, it was out of this world! A little jalapeño spice with a splash of ginger beer soda... delicious! I totally recommend this place. And it’s super close to the blue line Grand exit. Perfect for
First time. Dont sit in the first booth if you dont want sun in your eyes. A little expensive but worth it! The pozole was yum yum. Diffrent with bacon and pork but so good.
The Maillard Tavern is a great place to bring friends and dates for dinner or drinks. A craft drink menu offers plenty of creative cocktails to choose from, as well as a complete selection of beer and wine. I happened to done on the impossible 2.0 burger offered here, which is easily made vegan but
The Maillard burger is delicious! I will be back in the near future. Very close to downtown attractions as well.
First impressions go far, but a great second impression can make all the difference! I was ready to write this place off with a 3-star rating but I reheated my leftovers and was blown away by the taste!! Don't get me wrong, service was impersonal and detached, my bacon on the side turned out to be n
Really great burgers, drinks are on point. Jesus is the best.
This little pie shaped corner spot has a clean and simple design and is putting out some excellent food and drink. Fun fact, "maillard" is the name of the chemical reaction that occurs between amino acids and sugars that gives browned food it yummy goodness (named after the French chemist Louis-Cam
