I love restaurants that take something I take for granted and elevate it a notch or two... or three. The Maillard burger everything I want and more. With multiple patties and quite a few ingredients, it didn't slide apart on the first bite which was great. The crispy onions are always a favorite for me and the bacon onion jam was finger licking good. The duck fat fries were potato-y and crisp all at the same time. Make sure you get the house salad too because it was wonderful. Easy parking on the street and the entire place was approachable.

New burger "king" in town. All burgers and fries are not created equally. Maillard is THE BEST! Gotta try it to believe it. Already have my fave booth picked out.

If you're looking for a good burger and a drink, this place is perfect. The burgers were delicious and creative. The fries were good but a little overcooked. The drinks menu was small but had good choices. Food is good and prices are decent.

My boyfriend and I tried this place because the City Slicker "Hamburger hop winner" was mediocre. The El Jefe was nothing to brag about either For a place that's not so big and wasn't so busy, the food came out warm and the order came out incorrect. If you have a love for fries, you definitely won't be impressed. They felt stale and chewy, like they've been sitting out.

Fairly good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The chocolate milkshake stood out more than the burger. The burger is good, but I definitely had better elsewhere. It could be a little less dry and more pink. The fried onions in it was really good though. Fries were good too. It was an averagely good meal. I don't know if I would go back if I had a big craving for an amazing burger though.

Awesome burger diner offering up a delectable City Slicker burger that has both truffle and foie gras. Yummy truffle fries come in the side. Recommend if you want a classic burger all the way to this City Slicker.

I have lived around the corner from Maillard Tavern for a year, and just now got around to trying it. I wish I had gone sooner! These burgers are top notch excellence. I visited for lunch on a Saturday and had no trouble getting a table - the place was actually pretty empty. The restaurant is not huge but is a fun space with bar seating, booths, and regular tables. There are 6-8 beers on tap and probably 20+ in bottles. Service is very good… they have regular servers as well as a water guy which is clutch. My wife and I ordered the El Jefe and the Maillard. The Maillard was essentially an elevated take on the classic greasy dive bar onion burger. They really load it up with the crispy onions which makes the texture awesome and the burger look like an advertisement when it comes to your table. The beef was very tender all the way through - there were no remotely dry or crunchy areas. El Jefe is a delicious mess. Again the beef was moist throughout, and then you get the fried egg and chipotle mayo on top. I’m fairly certain they make the chipotles in house because the flavor was stronger, spicier, and smokier than anything you would get in a can. It’s just awesome. We asked for a side of it for our fries which I would HIGHLY recommend. After finally trying this place I’m confident all of the burgers will be great.I fully intend to return to try their award winning foie gras and truffle pesto burger.

Overall: Maillard is a perfect corner spot for a few drinks and some elevated pub food. The good: There are some heavy-hitting restaurants in the nearby area, but Maillard is a great spot for the middle-of-the-road consumer who doesn’t want to spend too much or too little. The atmosphere and vibes fit that bill too, but are still inviting and comfortable. The menu has some typical pub fare, but my girlfriend and I went with the fried chicken sandwich and the Maillard’s version of a sloppy joe, respectively. Both were great in their own way, and the fries to go along with them were crispy and hot. The portion sizes are perfect as well, and neither of us left too stuffed. The not-so-good: For what it is, it’s a little too overpriced. And, depending on what you’re looking for, the menu can seem pretty limiting. Food/drink: 8/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 8/10

This is a very tasty burger. Slightly dry patty but all the ingredients work well. The duck fat fries was crunchy and perfectly fried.

Come for the burgers. There are a few other items on the menu, but the burgers are the highlight. The burgers are not too extravagant, but still elevated. well executed balanced flavors. Quality ingredients but still has a greasy, messy feel that a good burger should have. Fries are crispy and paired well with a fresh lemonade shaken behind the bar.

Awesome place for burgers and shakes! The food is amazing: try the Maillard or the Grand and I bet you will love it! The ambiance is pretty cool - good music, huge bar, talkative customers.

Great use of a tiny space. Burger was incredibly savory; I got the Ray Ray chorizo and beef burger. Duck fat fries were exactly how I like them; so you taste potato, rather than a puff of exploded starch. Great small draft selection, understood by the staff.
