I was introduced to the 9Muses by a very special Greek friend. Was from California and very new to Chicago. Was very impressed with the 9Muses. The hospitality was outstanding! Wonderful food, great drinks, and will never forget the awesome Frappes which are my favorite! It’s an awesome place to to go to get to know our fellow Greeks!
Great Lamb Chop appetizers the bartender was not only handsome he was attentive the audience was breathtaking everyone was very kind even the patrons excellent view of Halsted and the other restaurants in the area good conversation a place where you really don't mind spending your money
Mixed grill seafood tasted much better than it looks. The octopus was grilled perfectly. The beef kefta plate was tender and delicious. Really enjoyed the grilled pita which gave it both a crispy and soft texture. Friendly service. Bottle corkage fee $10 but house Greek wine bottles have a $10 happy hour I believe. The small outdoor patio was perfect but can be noisy.
9 Muses Bar and Grill Restaurant, it is kid and pet friendly . The service was great, our waitress. She was fantastic , and the fast service made us feel very comfortable,food and drinks were great.
For appetizers, we ordered the lemon sausage, which was a great flavor to taste. My favorite dish was French fries with feta cheese on top! My husband had the Mediterrean veggie pasta . I had the Mediterranean Chiken with Veggie. Was a good portions. Delicious!
Delicious fresh-made food, good drinks, awesome service. (Only thing I’d change is the music. Loud eighties pop beats when what I wanted to hear was softer, Greek tunes.)
So delighted to have stopped here for the afternoon/evening. Lots of classic Greek options, while still feeling modern and fun. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and the drinks were balanced. I also appreciated the urban-style, Greek art. Check it out for a lively but casual night!
THIS place is one of the absolute best places in the city! It’s almost like a second home to me. I enjoy Xenia’s wonderful drinks, always making me feel welcome as a regular in the bar and Allie’s the best, making sure that the food comes in a timely manner. Not to mention the lively atmosphere and the music choice (which is GREAT!) I always keep coming back here and you all should too!

We had a small (50 people) rehearsal dinner at 9 muses for our wedding celebrations and they went above and beyond to make it the best experience for our friends and family. They accommodated more than enough food and everyone always had a drink in hand if they wanted one! They were attentive, friendly, and had the most amazing tasting food! Please check out this place even if it’s just for a casual lunch or dinner. 10/10 experience!
A casual Greek eatery with amazing burgers and traditional Greek fare. The service is excellent and cocktails are tasty! Definitely straddles the line between a nice sit-down restaurant and a college bar (which is not a bad thing).
Great People, Great Service, and even Greater Food. 9 Muses has been a benchmark restaurant and bar in Greek town for over 30 years. Their food represents true authentic Greek cuisine and is always followed with the best customer service. I have been an avid customer here for about the last 5 years and can say with honesty, I have never been disappointed. If you want authentic Greek food, a good environment, and fantastic customer service, this is your spot. Also Yianni, Steve, and his staff never forget to greet and connect with each person that walks through their door. Highly Recommend!
One of the most enjoyable dining experiences in Chicago. Sofia our waitress was lovely and the food was more delicious than I expected. We had a zucchini cake appetizer and I had a special of marinated lamb with rice and potatoes. Both dishes were very unique, nuanced, and they surprised me. The worst part was when it was over. I also drank (at a reasonable price) one of the (if not the) best Greek white wine I’ve ever had. We couldn’t resist dessert - the bougatsa was fantastic.
