Old Lviv is pleasant in every way. It feels like you’re eating at home and your cousin brings you your favorite soup. the ambience…the music…and the food was nice, too.

This restaurant has quickly become a cherished dining spot for me in Chicago. It's a family-owned establishment that consistently offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance is delightfully relaxed, creating a soothing environment. The food exudes a sense of careful preparation, reminiscent of homemade dishes. Considering the price, the experience feels like an incredible value. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant, especially if you're seeking a tranquil setting to savor Ukrainian cuisine. Be sure not to miss out on trying their Ukrainian lager – it's a must!

Familiar everyday dishes that transport me into my granny's home. Comforting meals are guaranteed to make you feel good. My Hispanic husband really loved stuffed cabbage rolls and spring salad (he fell in love with Borsch waaaay before). I was just happy to have a bit of everything since I grew up eating all those foods, and 2 years in the US made me super homesick. Nicely designed space with wooden elements, not very spacious, with limited seating. The staff is welcoming and kind. Also, coffee is good too!

Wow!! Just wow. Randomly came across this place when I stopped in Ukrainian village and it brought me back to all the foods. I ate as a kid and the son who works there was so kind to extend the buffet a little bit since I arrived late. An absolute must try in the Ukrainian village - it brought me back to tears, remembering what my grandmother and mother used to make growing up for our family. Pierogis, crêpes, borscht, sauerkraut, all incredibly delicious and homemade!

It was awesome and just like eating at a family establishment in Europe. The buffet was great where you got to taste a lot of different dishes that are familiar to central and Eastern Europeans with their own take. You could tell it was home cooking. Mom made the food and his son took care of the service. The beer was really good, too.

If you want authentic Easter European food, you can never go wrong with any option from here. It is a small business / family owned restaurant so you know the food is made with love. Also, do try some Ukrainian beers! SO tasty and refreshing!

Wow this place was delicious. The food is so comforting… great if you’re in need of something warm and yummy. We got the buffet and it was stocked full with food — from mashed potatoes to meat to staple Ukrainian dishes. The soup too was delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Worth the twenty minute walk! When I tasted the pelmeny, I nearly cried. They tasted just like the ones I had while on mission trips to Ukraine. My dear friend Ana made them with such love. Don’t sleep on the puréed beets…they are mixed with salt and horseradish! The horseradish knocks that earthy taste right out of them. The pork schnitzel and stuffed cabbage leaves were also delicious. Place is small, unpretentious, but the food is outstanding. молодець❤️🇺🇦🌻
