I want to begin by saying this is such a great place! I really loved the decor, it reminds me of a restaurant I went to in Durango, Mexico. First, of all the tortilla chips taste nice and hot and the house salsa is very good, not too spicy but with great flavor! I ordered a cucumber margarita which was so delicious and had a kick WOW!! I ordered the mole beef enchiladas, I am so picky about enchiladas but these were so delicious very close to the ones I make at home!! So I was so excited that the food here was authentic Mexican.My husband had the mole chicken which was very good as well. The portions were very generous along with the prices. Omg! the tortillas were freshly made so those were AWESOME! Finally, I wanted to acknowledge the waitress that we had Nora, she was so nice, very attentive to our needs, just a pure delight. I had such a wonderful experience here overall I will be going back, and you should definitely check it out as well! Thank you for your time! ;)
Read some reviews for Mexican food in our new neighborhood and came accross Sergio's and so glad we did! The decor is super cute in this dimly lit, cozy little restaurant and they have $5 margaritas that are pretty good. We got takeout but plan to return to dine in. We got steak burritos and they came with rice on the side and a yummy sauce on top. It was a big burrito, a little pricey buy very delicious.
Always the best! Food is authentic mexican. Hot and fresh with great selections. Staff friendly and makes you feel like family. Always great weekly specials Tuesday to Thursday, but come anytime. It's the only Mexican sit down restaurant in the Austin/Galewood community of Chicago near Oak Park. We must support our local businesses.
We love this place and go frequently. The fish tacos are amazing, the beans are great, fantastic corn tortillas and delicious, smokey salsa. Sergio is there all the time so you know it's being well looked after.
Extremely hospitable staff and environment. The al pastor tacos are incredible. Awesome variety of salsas. An all around great experience - definitely a top notch Mexican food experience in the area.
Really enjoy this place. The decor is very Frida Khalo the bar serves up good drinks and the waitstaff is Avery friendly. The beast is if you have food allergies they have been very accommodating so that to me is a big 5 stars
The fish tacos and tacos al pastor are really delicious, as are the chips, guacamole and habanero salsa. The decor is a lot of fun, very colorful. Just be sure you don't get locked in the men's bathroom. :-)
Great authentic Mexican food! The award winning fish tacos are amazing. A great place for a first date. The menu is reasonably priced.
Super environment for authentic Mexican experience. Top quality cuisine. We were a group of 6 without a reservation. Service was fantastic.
This is one of my daughter's favorite Mexican restaurants. The food is always great, especially the flautas and guacamole. Park on the north side of North Ave, though, hard to get across the street.
