Mirabella Italian Cuisine & Bar

There are Italian restaurants and then there is Mirabella Italian Cuisine & Bar. Located on the corner of Addison St and St Louis Ave you will find this cozy, family owned Italian restaurant. As other reviews have mentioned, Chicago has a very competitive restaurant landscape (in fact there is another Italian restaurant in eye sight). But Mirabella has nothing to worry about when it comes to competition as it is in a league of its own. When you first walk in, you are met by a full bar and the incredible Sylvia crafting up cocktails left and right (by the way she makes an amazing espresso martini). We then made our way to our table where our server, Ernesto, took the time to meet us and our needs. He insisted we tried the Grilled Calamari as our first course. The sauce it was cooked in was the best part. But our main courses are what really blew away our taste buds. Ernesto had mentioned that the special for tonight (which they do not have very often) was Prime Rib and mashed Potatoes. As pictured below, it was cooked to perfection. This hunk of meat was packed full of flavor, dripping in juice, and paired with a side of creamy/buttery mashed potatoes. My girlfriend ordered the lamb chops which followed suit in perfection from a taste and plating point of view. The combination of a friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and mouth watering food is the reason I will be coming back here soon. 15/10.

This used to be an old German restaurant so it's got a classic old time feel. The crew is very dedicated and the service is very personal and pleasant. Food is mostly classic Italian-American. We wish there were more choices for vegan and vegetarian but most people won't be disappointed

Very very impressed. Food was outstanding. I’m a city full of Italian restaurants, Mirabella feels it has separated itself.

🥂 We decided to come here for our 5yr Wedding Anniversary. Being a Chicago native, I can't believe we never actually came here! It was our first time and wow such an incredible experience. It felt so romantic, the music was so beautiful, and their classic Italian dishes transport you to Italy with each bite! They also have an extensive wine selection from Italy wich is our favorite wine! Mirabella has definitely made our top list of restaurants for classic authentic Italian dishes and does an incredible job in making you feel like you are in Tuscany. Definitely get the dessert that the prepare right in front of you tableside. Eddie made our dessert and we had the Peach Flambé wow! The entire restaurant actually came over and sang happy anniversary to my wife and I which made us feel very special. 🥰 Our server was exceptional and his name was Cesar. We ended up buying a bottle of Sangiovese and just enjoyed our night until the restaurant closed. Cesar introduced us to the owners and they thanked us in person for dining and welcomed us back anytime. Thank you for taking such great care of us! - Chris & Genie

I’m normally a picky eater but their food is to die for!! 🔥🔥 The staff is very friendly and I give the bartender “SYLVIA” an A++ in her overall performance!! I definitely recommend that you stop by ANYTIME of the day to not only enjoy their excellent food but also get some A1 service! YOU MIGHT EVEN BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO ARRIVE ON A NIGHT THAT SYLVIA IS WORKING!!!!
