This place has the best nachos I’ve had in Chicago. They have changed my life. They have fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, and they don’t add any yellow nacho “cheese”. I recommend getting it with barbacoa, amazing. The serving is enough for 2 people easily and the nachos do not get super soggy at the end.

Pretty darn authentic excellent carne asada tacos. Only negative experience was I accidentally spilled my horchata due to a loosely placed lid, no one offered me a replacement. While not mandatory, would have felt like the right thing for them to do.

The steak burritos are packed to the brim with delicious meat and each bite bursts with flavor. They are honestly addicting and once I start eating I cannot stop. Cash only. I also really like the barbacoa and vegetarian options as well. Great horchata as well.

Steak burrito was honestly one of the best I've ever had. Chips and salsa are also solid. I found the chicken in a chicken taco to be tasteless.-early 2019 Update...this place has been my fav for years. Recently the burrito size has shrunk and the chips are a whole different recipe and way worse( like out of a bag almost, but could have been a fluke). The steak still has awesome flavor and salsas supurb, but seems to be going a little down hill. Also 3.65 for a side of rice is crazy. 2022 2023- salsa smacks, steak is still tasty, burrito def still not back to levels in 2019, chips are good. Also it's 2022...cash only is so annoying

Always busy. Always a pleasure! Solid lengua. Solid pico. Solid service. I take issue with folks complaining about their prices. Running a restaurant in a large city is expensive, especially post-pandemic. $1 tacos only exist at Taco Bell 🤢 The small family-run shops like Asadero are worth the price. Never change!

A couple weeks ago a couple of my students invited us to this restaurant. The tacos without a good salsa, it's just a pile of meat on a tortilla. For me, any taco can be way better with a good salsa. This place makes good salsa. The restaurant is very small and they don't have enough space, so is probably best to make your tacos to go.

This is one of my favorite places to get tacos. The steak is juicy and the seasoning is just perfect. All of their food is a perfect 10. The place is small but their food is huge in taste and portions. It will become one of your favorite places to get authentic Mexican food.

Delicious. They have mint toothpicks. The person at the register is lovely. They’re very quick. The burrito has a good meat to topping ratio with no rice or beans. It tastes like an oversized flour taco so if you like the taco you will like the burrito.
