My first time at this location. Was with a group of about 20 people and they only had one server although the place wasn't very busy on a Sunday at 5pm. It took forever to get drinks and food as the lady only brought 2 things at time rather than loading up a tray.
The food was really great though. Good pizza and a fantastic steak salad. Roasted brussels sprouts were really good too.. I'd go back.
Moretti's is a nice family restaurant near where we live and we've eaten in and gotten delivery from there many times. Great place to take the kids. Italian place with a lot of unhealthy food like their delicious macaroni and cheese pizza but also a lot of healthy options if that's what you're looking for. The salmon is tasty as is the crispy chicken Romano. Not super fancy but a great place to go if you feel like going out and want to take the kids. Recommended.
Ann, our food specialist, made this a memorable experience. We were here for a family reunion before a wedding.
I visited during the summer at the Edison Park location and loved sitting on the huge patio! We got cocktails to start which were about $7 (cheap for chicago) and half off apps for happy hour. They have a huge menu so it was hard to choose , but everything was delicious (especially the spinach artichoke dip) and the pizza (which is super popular) was great too. Crispy crust which I like! Service was good, the patio was very family friendly so a great restaurant to bring kids. The dinner portions were fair, overall a solid spot to visit for the price (very affordable). I'd recommend. :)
What can I say about Moretti's in EP? Well, I grew up in Edison Park and have been coming to this Moretti's location since I was in junior high. It has always been a staple for FUN, friend and family gatherings, and a joyful atmosphere, and I was so happy to return recently and see that had not changed. :) I brought my parents to dinner at Moretti's and we had an incredible experience. The patio was lovely, the food was phenomenal (even for a picky vegan like me!), drinks were tasty, and they even had live music playing. It made for a perfect summer evening! I ordered a salad, the vegan pizza, and my mom got calamari and pasta. Everything tasted fresh, and I was honestly so happy to see how they had adapted to have lots of great veggie options. The wait staff was also incredibly kind, and the manager was very welcoming. A+ experience, we'll definitely be back
Had a group of 15. Waitress was fantastic. Very attentive. Food was great. Great time had by all!
Worst service ever! Had to find hostess do we could get table set up (no fork, knife, etc). Our waitress was training another girl. I feel sorry for the girl. We ordered an app and our main course. We finished the app, and waited and waited. Table was not cleared from dirty app plates and empty glasses when our main course arrived. The young main just moved the used glasses and plates to center of table to put dinner plates down.
Waitress walked by and asked if things were ok. She was out of sight before we could answer.
Finally came back and asked if we wanted more drinks. Said yes, then told us they ran out of ice tea but would make more. Waitress in training came back with fresh iced tea, but NO ICE in the glass, tea was warm!
Had to hunt down waitress for our check. Waited again for them to come back to take the check.. We finally got up and took over to the hostess, so we could get out if there.
We did not have a 5 course meal, and spent an agonizing 3 hours there, mostly waiting.
A party of children celebrating a birthday was going on in the back. Screaming, jumping on empty booths running downstairs and upstairs. No adult supervision. Hostess said nothing to the group. Very annoying and not a place for children at dinner time.
Would we go back? Yes, food was great but most likely get carryout.
Certainly not for the service provided.
We went early afternoon and there were maybe 10 people in the place. But it really filled up as we finished. Food was very good and just a little different than the usual Italian staples.
Posting for my parents who just hosted my brother and future sister-in-law's bridal shower. We had a great experience from beginning to end. Kelly was extremely helpful with the planning and Susan and Crystal did a great job and were very efficient serving our party the day of. Food was delicious and loved the venue ambience.
I recently visited the Moretti's location in the Edison Park neighborhood of Chicago with my wife. It's a family style Italian restaurant with some elevated dishes. First, it's a big restaurant with many seating options. You can sit in the main dining room, at their bar or in their patio. I ate in their main dining room and I enjoyed watching sports on their many TVs. Second, their food is good. To start, we ordered cheesy pull apart bread for an appetizer. I loved pulling it a part and it was super cheesy. For our main courses, we ordered the filet mignon trio and the angel hair pomodoro. The steak was cooked nicely and it was juicy. I also liked the mashed potatoes. In the pasta, the shrimp was cooked perfectly and the sauce was great. For dessert, we ordered the four layer chocolate fudge cake and the cannolis for dessert. The cake was amazing. It was moist and uber chocolatey. Third, the meal was a great value. We ordered all of what I have described plus a beer and a glass wine for $90.00 before tip and after tax.
