Bistro 6050

Truly excellent ice cream! I got the roasted pistachio, and it was so good I decided to sit down at the nearest bench to enjoy it, instead of getting in the car and driving home right away! My only recommendation for the owner is to keep the shop open in the afternoon, especially during warm weather seasons. 2-5pm is prime ice cream hour ☺️ While I was sitting there enjoying my ice cream I saw a family of four arriving at 2:10pm and were disappointed to find it closed.

Finally got the chance to stop by Bistro 6050 and we loved every empanada that we tried! We had the sweet corn chaat, creamy chicken, pulled pork, and the cheesy pepper. Personal fav was the cheesy pepper. SO GOOD. We’re pretty new to the neighborhood so we’re always excited to find another small business to support. The Portage/Jeff Park area needs more unique, locally owned spots like this! Absolutely coming back to try more of the empanadas and the ice cream!

I love this bistro! They are unique and one of a kind! They have the best crepes and empanadas(all of them are great but my favorite is chicken). Their coffee is amazing as well as teas. And they have the most delicious ice cream (please try ferrero rocher, pistachio). If I were the one to decide I would give Bistro6050 5 Michelin stars! Order from them and support a small business!

Donno what’s better: getting to know the owners or eating the food- both made our day!! The owners have a story to tell, are thoughtful, smart, hardworking; and lead with their hearts. They obviously care about their neighbors, and their to-go utensils are wooden instead of plastic, so they likely care about the environment too. Ok the food- we got two crepes, 8 empanadas, two fresh mint teas, and two ice creams- all were amazing, we ate such a wonderful meal and have lunch leftover for tomorrow! Can’t wait to return! These guys deserve all the hype!

Bistro 6050 has this great mushroom soup that is totally delicious. They offer call ahead service, so the food will be ready and fresh when you arrive for pickup. The restaurant also offers delivery for anyone looking for the conveniences of not leaving their home. Not many vegan options on the menu but again the mushroom soup is great. Not to mention the business is woman owned. Would have only given it 3 stars because of the limited plant-based/vegan menu but the mushroom soup is great so I gave it 4.

Noticed this place as I was in the neighborhood and saw the great reviews. They are well earned! It's run by a euro/Filipino couple that puts their heritage into their food. Awesome people to chat with, food is amazing, personal service, great experience. Take a few minutes to chat with the owner when you order, you won't be disappointed. They also take pick up and delivery orders online which is convenient because they are currently accepting orders through an order window outdoors. I still recommend going in person to chat, but if it's cold or rainy use the website and don't miss out!

A true gem in Portage Park neighborhood! The whole experience was superb! Kudos to the very personable owners of this multicultural bistro Roselle and her husband was very hospitable and excellent customer experience they have provided! It’s a unique combination and fusion of savory, sweet and a huge variety of drinks to choose from. Coffee,tea or bubble tea they have it.We ordered the delicious empanadas with twists and flavors from South America to Asia. A true blend of great coffee and soothing tea was also served with marvelous sweet tooth desserts that you cannot miss! Affordable place to get a quick bite with warmth feel and unique personality amongst other coffee or crepe place! Kudos to the wonderful staff!!
