Pizza was great! The crust had a nice crunch to it. Not a huge fan of the Parmesan dusting on top but some people will like it. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area.
Used to frequent the original Max & Leo's in Newton Corner all the time. This location is pretty close to the original, but is missing classics such as The Mikey and Juliann. I've noticed the toppings aren't as fresh/delicious as the original location, but they aren't bad either. If you are looking for a good thin crust pizza this will satisfy you, and it does closely resemble the original (but just not quite as good). If you are coming to the bowling alley and happen to want pizza you will be pleasantly surprised with the taste compared to the typical bowling alley pizza.
This location is also about twice as big as the original location with significantly more seating (about 5 tables inside, 5 booths, and 10 bar seats, plus an outdoor patio with another 5 tables or so)
Came here and did not expect a place to do it like this!! Started out with the Bourbon Smash Cocktail and it not only was amazing, it was refreshing that I ordered another right after.
Ordered the Honey Habanero Wings and these came out crispy and a little burn on them, our server told us that it is the coal fire oven and that it would have a bit of a char on it from the 900 degree oven. Let me tell you I AM HOOKED! Not only were these flavorful and a great spiciness to them, you bite in and it is absolutely amazing how moist the wings are.
The Margarita Pizza looked great and tasted even better, the crust was amazing and had the same little char from the oven and it only added to the entire flavor profile.
We will all be back, and I will not be waiting for my friends to go back.
How does "White Olive Oil Pizza with Grilled Chicken, Caramelized Onions, Wild Mushrooms, Mascarpone and Mozzarella Cheese" sound? It's the Brooksy and it's amazing. I used to frequent Max & Leo's often when I lived in Boston and was psyched when they decided to build a location in Lincoln Park. Easily my favorite pizza in the city.
Beautiful, authentic food, lots of choice, fairly reasonably priced! We were in a rush but could have spent all afternoon there sampling all the Artisan Pizza! Service was okay - super friendly what you get when someone is that authentic!...More
Great pizza and bowling is a plus!
Max & Leo's has AWESOME pizza! Thin, char crust and crispy toppings! My favorite in Chicago
There's nowhere else in Chicago you can find a coal fire oven and pizza as amazing as here! Stopped by here on my way into Kings and the paradigm is amazing!
This place is a hidden gem - possibly the best pizza I've ever eaten. Not what I was expecting from somewhere next to a bowling alley!
Excellent thin crust pizza and charred wings are to die for! Great spot to grab lunch
