True to its name, this is a bonified, old school pub! Dimly lit, the pub gets its light from the natural sunlight that shines through the little spaces on the big doors. There are fireplaces throughout the space and wall sconces. Awesome family pics hung high up on the wall. This is a nice spot for couples, families, or just one. I ordered the bleu cheese burger. The burger was simple and delicious. It was beautifully cooked at medium-well, served with a huge dollup of bleu cheese on top and sandwiched between a fantastic bun. The fries were fried just right crispy. You can taste the potato. Side note: The meat of the burger was so well-seasoned that I think I might order the next one medium. The waitress was very nice and attentive, too. Very friendly and patient. I hear that the Pub also has a really awesome back patio space. I will definitely be a repeat customer. I will check the patio come the warmer months.

I needed a hearty meal and headed to the restaurant for a good old fashion hamburger and fries. I was not disappointed. Great burger, great fries. Memories of my visits from 20 years ago. This restaurant has been here for years and there's a good reason why: great food and a cool place to hang with friends.

An Edgewater institution since 1959. The Moody burger with fresh cut fries paired with a dark lager cannot be beat! I love dining in the outdoor patio in the summer and curling up in a booth near a fireplace in the winter.

Love this place. A Staple in Edgewater. I've eaten hear for over 30 years and they never disappoint. One of the best burgers in Chicago and their Blue Cheese is one of a kind. Pure delicious with an amazing staff to match.

I'm originally from Andersonville and revisiting this place was a wonderful experience. The outside seating area is wide and the lighting was perfect. Wide selection of food and beverages. Fair prices..stop by and see for yourself.

I'm thrilled to share my wonderful experience at Moody's Restaurant & Pub! For the past four years, I've been a loyal patron, enjoying their fantastic atmosphere and delectable menu. Isaac's exceptional service truly stands out – his attentiveness and warmth create a welcoming environment that keeps me coming back. It's surprising that despite my long-standing patronage, I've never taken the time to express my appreciation in a review. Moody's, with its great food and Isaac's excellent service, remains a top choice for me!

Moodys is a Chicago institution. The food is deliciously simple. They’ve got burgers (including veggie), chicken, fish, fried shrimp, and even a salad. But that’s about it. All served with their signature fries. But feel the check out the equally delicious onion rings. The patio is one of the best in Chicago. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a tap beer, Sangria, or even a specialty cocktail. You will love it!!!!

This place has one of the best beer gardens in the city. It is large and fenced off from Broadway, so it's pretty quiet and there is room for everyone. There are large beautiful trees to sit under so it doesn't get too hot There was live music last time I went. The main downside is that their beer list is limited, but still pretty good. I like their hefeweizen from Temperance brewery They are known for their burgers. I ordered the fish sandwich without the bread with fries and made fish and chips for myself. It was above average. I saw a lot of people ordering pitchers of sangria. I'm not into sangria but I guess it must be good. The inside is covered in dark wood but could use a little more light. It sort of feels like you're there for a meeting with an informant from the mob. But it also feels like you're in a real neighborhood joint. Go visit before summer is over.
