Kai Sushi - Chicago - Photo album

Great local sushi spot with an outdoor patio. The rolls are large and filling and the spring rolls (especially the sauce) are fabulous. They have 1/2 off your first speciality roll on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Amazing deal! Volcano Roll is our fan fav!
One word: WOW! Highly impressed. Stopped in Chicago for sushi and I am so happy we came here! This is the best sushi I have EVER had, hands down. My family also agrees. The spring rolls were also so delicious that we ordered a second portion after we ate the first. I loved every sushi roll we ordere
Very good sushi, fish was fresh and at very reasonable prices for the quality! Would highly recommend, and not busy at all when we went.
Every single item was delicious. The food just tasted fresh and clean, every ingredient has a purpose. It was prepared by a true Japanese chef. Loved the shrimp udon and even took one to go. Came in one hour before closing and the service was excellent. We did not feel rushed. Will come back.
Incredible sushi and service! BYOB! Waitress was so friendly and attentive. We visited the fist time in March (2022) and are here again tonight (April 2022). They have gluten free soy sauce and are very accommodating with special requests (like removing crunch or bonito flakes).
Amazing food, great service, seat outside and bring your own wine bottle :D
Great sushi spot in the south loop! I have ordered from here many times in the past And didn’t know it was BYOB until today which was a nice surprise! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and the quality of the fresh fish was amazing! Will definitely be back :)
We were in a hurry and felt like having sushi and this place was really close by. Probably one of the best sushi places in Chicago. Everything was fresh and delicious! All the rolls that had salmon were my favorite! I also loved their squid salad and uni! Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Had a quick dinner here before a concert at Soldier Field. My friends each ordered a few rolls and I had the sushi deluxe platter, everything was well prepared and delicious. The staff was attentive and quick to notice when waters needed filling, etc. Great place to eat, best if you can sit on the o
This place is consistently so good. They never miss the mark on freshness and presentation and have always gone above and beyond with any and all special requests I’ve made to accommodate dietary restrictions. My favorite order is the tuna tataki with ponzu, salmon avocado roll with seaweed on the o
Absolutely an A+ dining experience from Kai Sushi!! The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and respectful. I was pleasantly surprised to get the quality of the food and the service at this price range for sushi. I really loved their recommended chef specials, and would defini
Great food! Nice outdoor space surrounded by planters of flowers and cute town homes. Walked from the Hilton Garden Inn a few blocks away. Pleasant servers and crowd.
My daughter and I picked this place for lunch one of the days we went to Lolla and it DID NOT disappoint. Worth the 20 min walk each way. We had sushi, salad with ginger dressing, tempura and miso. All the food was fresh and SO DELICIOUS. Service was good too. Thank you to all the staff for the love
Great restaurant, fresh sushi and maki. We were 2 and ordered 2 special rolls and 1 lunch special, it was great!
Do I love sushi a little too much? One could argue that that’s the case. Either way, Kai is a local spot near where I live and it’s a pretty good option on a weeknight. The sushi is fresh and the quality of the fish is pretty good for the price.
Do not get the Sakura Blossom, who eats cooked salmon at a Sushi restaurant? Overall, I recommend the Unagi Don with eel.
