God I love this place. Unsure where to start. I was helping with small stuff for a friends wedding shower. They were looking for recommendations for places. I talked highly about house if cakes since they are the best. The bride and groom trusted me. So we had large sheets of cheese pizza bread, cheese sticks and cannolis. The pizza breads were gone within 2 hours, we had 10 large sheets. The cannolis and the cheese sticks might have last ten minutes. I cant explain how awesome everything was. It was super easy to place my order, extremely nice people and I was talking to the owner and didn't even know it. Vinny was like a normal person, something you don't see from owners very often. Strongly suggest checking this place out and we will most definitely will be returning. Wish I could give them higher then 5 stars.
Brought the chocolate chip and cherry cooler cakes in this morning for my coworkers, we couldn't believe how good they were! So light and fluffy, but full of flavor! Great prices, friendly staff and wonderful food!!
Nice small bakery with specialty breads and cakes. Small variety of cookies available. Items purchased are always fresh and yummy. Store is always busy. Friendly staff. Clean store. Excellent coffee cakes and cakes. Sometimes it's so busy hard to come in the door. Only takes cash or checks!
I bought 4 balvarian cream paczki and a cheese stick. The cheese stick is always very delicious. The filling for your paczki is terrible. Yall have to do something about that! I have had the fruit filling before and its like you just use some can jelly and slap it in the paczki. The balvarian cream looks homemade but its not very good. The paczki itself,the dough is excellent! The best dough i had thus far. Better than stan doughnuts, better than Schiegl, better than Dunkin and other places i've been to. Please go to Schiegl on Touhy by crawdford and taste their balvarian cream doughnut. Their cream is excellent. If you put that cream in your paczki i would pay $8 for one! If you are a true baker go try it. Or i can bring you a few to try let me know.
The coffee cakes are always a hit for office meetings. Get there early as the locals know the best selection is early morning. Cash or check only. Street parking. Real butter definitely used in all the cookies and sweets.

Sweet cheese sticks put this place on the map. They are a rolled, sugared dough filled with sweet creamy cheese. Better than any cheese danish. Delicious cookies and pastries. Pizza type breads are light, fresh and delicious.
Helpful staff. Special orders need to be placed at least one day in advance.

Truly the house of cakes! Their strawberry and cheese coffee cake is the best ever (order ahead). I haven’t tried their pizza yet, but that’ll be next.

Excellent bakery that serves a boatload of coffee cakes and sweet rolls. The bakery Pizza and focaccia are the best around and our go to on all the big holidays. Grab a few of their cheese sticks you want be disappointed!
House of Cakes is a charming small bakery with a variety of cakes and breads to choose from. Their attention to detail in presentation and taste is commendable.
I visited House of Cakes recently and had their chocolate cake, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and the cake was moist and satisfying.
