We dined a Harry's pre-flight. The chips with blue cheese are a great appetizer. At Harry's stick to sandwiches. My son had the pasta w cream sauce and it the pasta was way overcooked and the sauce pasty. Service was efficient.
Came here to celebrate a birthday. Had a reservation for a group. The hostess was unwelcoming and very rude with us but boy did our waitress Brittney and the manager make up for it! They were both courteous and kind and made sure the birthday girl felt special the whole night . If you go here ask for Brittney to be your waitress. The empanadas and the mini taco flights were creative and fresh. The El corazon and henessey margarita cocktails were table favorites as well as the sangria. This place just needs a better hostess to make good first impressions and they'll be a 5/5.
Que Delicioso!. We went on a Wednesday night, not many patrons here, but we liked the ambiance. Started off with a pitcher the red sangria, delicious and served 4 of us two drinks each. Having spent significant time in Spain, I wouldn't call it quite authentic, but still tasted good. We tried two different ceviche- the rainbow coctel and smoked salmon, absolutely loved the flavor in the salmon. We tried some of the skewers (nothing special) but the boniato and plantain croquetas were to die for! Probably my favorite menu item. My entree was the suckling pig, which was amazing. The ancho jus was delicious, almost like a mole sauce. The carmelized onion boniato mash was absolutely divine. My dad had the huachinango grouper which was delicious, with hints of pepper and cilantro. Everything we had was great! We would like to come back on a Saturday evening.
Amazing ceviche. I had watermelon and yellow fin ceviche that was to die for and I am not a huge fan of watermelon.
This Latin fusion has lots of favor its in dishes and the ambiance.

Great Food. Had the skirt steak skewer and a shrimp and scallop taco. Both were declicious.
Great for a salsa plans. You go here for the ambiance, but the food isn't bad either, especially when you're enjoying a mojito to go with the Latin music. On weekends, they clear the tables around 9:00 for salsa so be sure to stay and watch at least a little. Or better yet get a booth for dinner at 8:00, stay for salsa, and your party has permanent seats for the night - not to mention you didn't have to pay the cover.
Great food!. We had a fantastic meal and it's a neat atmosphere! The ceviche was incredible. Entrees were very generous in size. The cocktail menu had a lot of different things to try. I had a hard time deciding. We had the ice cream sandwich for dessert, it's a must try. Can't wait to return!
Nacional 27 was the venue for our rehearsal dinner, and we could not have been happier! We had amazing food & drinks for one thing. We did our own seating arrangements but were given the room layout in advance which was helpful. We also had music and salsa dancing (including a short salsa class), and my brother-in-law was able to be the MC for speeches later in the night. The staff were friendly (I personally appreciated our waiter who gave our table a round of tequila shots when we asked for them... I don't think he was supposed to but it helped with my night-before-wedding nerves haha). The food was so good, and it was served family style so each guest could try a variety of dishes. Apps were passed as guests arrived as well, and then we had an extensive dessert bar. It was such a fantastic start to our wedding weekend, and so memorable for all of our guests who were able to attend!
I came here mainly for DJX and he’s to my opinion the best in the world who does the Latin DJ’ing. I enjoyed the seafood and was surprised they had Cuban coffee like Miami! ☕️🤙🏽
I love the food & enjoyed their outdoor sitting area. It is well covered with beautiful Ferns which too me is very important when you're ddining outside. Other restaurants needs incorporate this look when setting up for summer outdoor dining.
We had our work party here and it was a blast. The food was incredibly good, the music was great, and the space is really nice. The drinks were high quality, and the dance floor was a nice touch. We had karaoke and a photo booth set up and everything flowed really well. I would be very happy to come back here.
Great food... wait Staff very attentive
A festive and fun atmosphere brings this restaurant/dance club to life. Delicious food from, and inspired by many Latin American countries and cultures. The drinks were fantastic as well. Service seemed to be a little slow, but then again, I came in on a busy Friday evening. The staff was extremely helpful in navigating the menu, and I was very greatful for their suggestions. I will be back!
Family and I received New Years at Nacional27! The atmosphere was great! Having experience at multiple night clubs/bars across the US, I have to acknowledge the great security/bouncers at this place. They act fast and efficiently, making the atmosphere that much better for those trying to have a great night out. Coat check is a +. If you are visiting Chicago like myself, I highly recommend this place. Will be back!
Great nightlife spot with Latin rhythms. Drinks are priced as in any other nightclub in River North. We visited on Friday and they had free cover for ladies. By midnight it got really packed but we still had enough room to dance. I highly recommend if you are looking for more mature crowd.
I can't wait to visit this place again. While the portions are moderate, it definitely does not miss on flavor. I prefer my sangria a little sweeter but the corn con queso and the Peruvian skirt steak with potatoes, and their extensive cocktail menu is definitely worth another visit. Our party was over a half- hour late for our reservations, they still sat us and the kitchen doesn't close until 12. They also turn into a night club at 11 pm, so it makes the perfect combination for night life dining and eating. They also have excellent quick service.
We came here for the free Wednesday evening salsa lessons. This was so much fun and good exercise too! After lessons we had great dinner. Lots of great sharing options on the menu and tasty margaritas (you can order a pitcher).
