The food was outstanding, and getting there right as they open on a Friday night was the perfect option for taking my family out to dinner. They have wines, cheeses, small plates and main dishes - something for everyone!

Great food and drinks! We went for their 15th anniversary for brunch. I got the "Orange Screwdriver" which was great. I also had the hash. The hash was good, but was a little on the oily side. I would recommend brightening it up with some acid, like a tiny bit of a lemon vinaigrette sprayed on top along with a dash of kosher salt flakes. Thanks for the wonderful experience, Pastoral!

Great selection of cheese with good wine, spreads/jams, and fresh bread to go with it. Their other menu items are delicious as well. We tried two kinds of cured pork, meatballs and tomato soup and I can definitely recommend everything we had. It's a small place, so make sure to make reservations if you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday night. Overall, I'd say that if you like wine, cheese and a charming setting you should definitely check Bar Pastoral out.

Great space with lots of wine to choose from. Was a little more money than I intended when I walked in, but the service, food, and wine was worth it. If I lived in the city, I feel it would be a natural get together space with friends.

The service here is just so good, very friendly staff! You can always ask about the best wine and cheese pairings and they’ll be more than happy to help you out. Once my order for brunch was served after a significant wait because they were short staffed and it was crowded, I was given my meal for free. The food is great too but the portions are smaller than most other places. They have the best black bean sliders I’ve ever tasted.

This place is great! The market side has amazing cheese that changes week to week, with wine for every price range. They are very generous about samples (mainly of cheese). Great for interesting honeys, jams, crackers, desserts too. The restaurant has yummy food and good specials - the brunch on Sat & Sun is great too. Service has always been spot on.

Bar Pastoral is a small, intimate wine bar in the Lakeview neighborhood. I've been here a few times and I'm very impressed by the friendly staff, the wonderful wine selection, and the various small plate options on the menu. it's a pricey, but what wine bar isn't? My advice: go in and let your server guide you through the wine menu, their recommendations are usually spot on.

My wife and I came here for drinks and a snack before dinner. We had a few glasses of wine and a selection of cheeses, all of which we really enjoyed. Cozy atmosphere and ambiance, we'd definitely come back.

Great selection of cheese with good wine, spreads/jams, and fresh bread to go with it. Their dinner entrees are delicious as well, but portions are pretty small for the price. It's a small place, so make sure to make reservations if you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday night. Overall- I'd recommend for the wine and cheese, but not for a real dinner because portions are so small. It's delicious though! Service can be quite slow as well, so don't go if you're in a hurry

If you don't know wine, peruse the list at Bar Pastoral and you'll never choose wrong. All the wines are priced the same, so you won't have to sacrifice taste on a lower-priced glass. The best part: every cheese on a board comes with its own perfectly paired accompaniment. Blue cheese with rich caramel sauce? Yes, please.
