Original review: The bartenders will change the prices of drinks based on who they’re serving. One vodka soda was $15- insane. When I brought it up to another bartender, she said I was overcharged but made a big deal out of refunding me $2. Edit: received a super professional response and explanation from Mike regarding my experience and I'm sure it was a fluke. I will definitely be giving Benchmark another shot if I am in the area again.

I moved to Chicago about two years ago now and have always gotten recommendations to go into Old Town and I have checked out a few bars in the area with my friends but my favorite is Benchmark! It has an upstairs with a ceiling that opens up on a nice summer day and with friendly bartenders and servers. The food is amazing I love the nachos and when going out with my friends we share a GIANT mule bowl definitely worth the price! Later at night they move the chairs and tables to give it more of a bar feeling, Benchmark is definitely a spot to go to in Old Town!

Benchmark 4C- Amazing service and ambiance! I was really impressed with how great and delicious the food was! 🧀 Mozzarella sticks were great and full of flavor! 🦬 Buffalo wraps were mouth-watering and crispy! I highly recommend trying them if you like a bit of spice! 🍕 Margherita Pizza- Perfect amount of cheese and sauce!! LOVED IT! 🍸 Cucumber Gimlet was refreshing and a must try! Can’t wait to go back!

Stumbled upon this restaurant when we could not get a table somewhere else. Turned out to be a great choice. We easily got a table upstairs so we could see multiple tv screens and people watch. I had the Barbacoa Bowl with a Raspberry Margarita which hit the spot. Will drop in again when in the area. Service was good.
