My husband and I have been coming here for breakfast since we moved to Chicago. I can't find enough words of praise for the service, the food and... the food. Amazing breakfast platters, decadent desserts, mouthwatering pastries and a variety of breads, toppings, sausages that will make your head spin! Great prices, lovely staff, always helpful and chatty. We recommend the pretzel croissant sandwich, the poppy seed french toast, but even their simple Austrian two egg breakfast is to die for. Also, please don't treat the staff poorly because you decide to come in with a group of 8 people at 11am on a weekend. Be patient, it's worth it.
Great food esp breakfast croissant and build your own choices. And the bakery items are the yummiest ever.
Really like this place. Food was delicious. The croissant sandwiches were amazing and huge. They have fresh squeezed orange juice and my children love it. The location is great. Close to everything with walking distance.
Great breakfast! I ordered the pretzel croissant sandwich and it was super tasty. The bread is all made in house. I tried my friends poppyseed toast and it was great, too! The coffee is very good, it is Illy and drip.
I ordered a few handmade cookies for my family and everyone enjoyed them.
The service was friendly.
I'd definitely recommend. This will become a go to breakfast spot for me.
The omelette on a croissant was very tasty as was the raspberry danish. There are a few other things from the dessert case that I'd try. They also have sacher cake which you don't find everywhere. Friendly service. Fresh squeezed orange juice available.
Small cafe but great menu offerings, we've ordered wiener schnitzel and it was juicy inside and crispy crust. Austrian goulash that was just good, not so special. Kids Mac and cheese which is a gourmet one that adults may like it, not kids. The bakery variety is big and tempting, we chose the sacher torte and it was dry in my opinion.

So easy to miss next to the big Starbucks, but hands down better pastries and cakes! Breads all homemade and tasty - try the Turkey Panini. Lots of fresh backed cakes and pastries - Sacher Torte totally authentic! Huge menu with breakfast, Goulash, salads, Sandwiches, teas, coffees, etc.

Excellent authentic pastries and bakery, plus comprehensive sandwich and lunch fare. Just wish they stay open later for dinner...
Thought I was getting a croissant sandwich. What I really got was a giant omelette between two slices of croissant. Super good. Seasoned just right. The apricot crepes were fire and the coffee was really good too. I wish they would have checked on refills a bit more but the food deserves 5 stars. Will be back..
