After living in Europe for 10 years, I'm a huge fan of Neapolitan thin crust pizza. I was visiting Chicago and not looking forward to the deep dish casserole they call pizza in Chicago. Fortunately, friends took me to Da Nella, where we had a delicious fresh salad, fine Tuscan wine, and authentic thin crust pizza and calzone. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will return as soon as I get the chance.

Met up at this place with a friend from out of town. Wanted to take him to a local pizza joint that wasn't just one of the large chains. Saw this place written about on Timeout Chicago and jumped on it. This place isn't your typical Chicago Pizzeria. They definitely aim for more authentic Italian pizza. We had the stuffed Ciella Ciella and it was delectable. The dough was soft and warm. The toppings where perfect. Everything was great. We also had great service there. They have a very nice side patio that would be perfect for a nice summer evening. Everyone there was out there, including us. They had it decorated as well to add to the ambiance. Couldn't recommend this place more if your looking for some place other than Giordanos or if you'd like pizza with a blend of American and Italian flavor.

I've been enjoying Da Nella's for 4 years with no less than 24 visits. Calling the food exquisite is undervaluing how incredible it really is. Owners are humble perfectionist with true desire to serve only the very best.
