Went to Pick Me Up Cafe the other night and got the Vegan Pizzadilla and Veggie Chili. I was surprised at how much vegan cheese they put on it. The vegan cheese doesn’t have much flavor but it blends very well with the sandwich. That veggie chili was very flavorful and has the right amount of spice. I never thought to put bay leaf in my chili but after trying this, I will definitely add it to my next batch.

This is a gem! The food smelled divine, the food coming to the tables looked so mesmerizing, and then the first bite!!! DELICIOUS 😋. I'm glad I was taken here and will be returning again @pickmeupcafe.

PMU Cafe has such a cool and welcoming atmosphere. Our host and server were great and the drinks/food came to our table pretty quickly. I had the Paloma cocktail and for dinner we shared the Fries with bacon and feta special and the chorizo tostadas entree. The food had a lot of flavor and felt very authentic. I'd definitely be back!

Nothing is is fancy but everything is delicious. It is located between Sheridan Park and Andersonville which is pretty area. If you are vegan they vegan options too.

Absolutely delicious! I've been plant based for 3 years now and I've missed being able to order breakfast... enter the Pick me up cafe! I got the Sante fe scramble with pancakes... they don't even taste vegan. I'm blown away! Do yourself a favor, check out this diner. It's going to become your new favorite!

The atmosphere is lovely and the waiters are great, I’ve loved this place for a while, their Vegan Tofu scramble has always been a favorite comfort food until on two separate occasions bits of chicken were served with my potatoes; which was very upsetting. This unfortunately made it difficult for me to trust, especially after not eating chicken for 13+ years prior. So if you are someone that is in fact vegan be aware of dishes that contain potatoes because I’ve experienced the accident of chicken being mixed in the Vegan Tofu Scramble.

I love pick me up cafe . I've been coming to the restaurants in Chicago since I was in high-school or grammar school when they had a location in boys town. This location is nice too. I love the garlicious chicken breast pesto sandwich and mashed potatoes, the Buffalo chicken strips are good too!

It was my first time here with my friend (she’s gluten free), so to see that they offer a gluten free menu made her super happy. I was surprised with the variety of options they had on the menu. They even have vegan/vegetarian options too. The service was honestly so good. The person who took our order was very sweet and she kept checking up on us too. Definitely I will be back here for brunch again!
I ordered a vegan benedict that had tofu in it and veggies and it was so delicious!! Did not disappoint at all. I really love how the atmosphere is too.
